I made some pillow covers in less than 5 minutes and with extra cloth napkins I had laying around. They are NO-SEW too! Pop over to my blog to see how easy it is to make seasonal pillows.
Hello! I talked about my new solar powered string lights over on my Instagram stories and had a lot of request to know more about them. I included them in my Friday Favorites along with what I learned about non-stick pans, a picture of me in a shirt that I shared from another Friday Favorites and a few more favorites!
It finally stopped raining and we pulled out all the furniture from the shed. Can I tell you how excited I am to start eating outside? Instead of my normal Friday Favorites post I joined Melaine from My Sweet Savannah and 6 other bloggers to share some outdoor dining ideas today. Come see our back deck all ready for Spring and what we made for dinner too…an East Coast thing (at least I think it is!).
I shared an easy DIY project that you probably already have everything to create it. This would make the sweetest mother’s day gift or an easy art idea for your home. I also shared other mother’s day gift ideas (basically ALL things I want for myself:)). And we had some family pictures taken and I shared a peek of the only one I have seen and from the looks of it I can’t wait for more!
So excited to share our built-in banquette with you today! We have wanted to do this for a long time and finally got things rolling in January and now it is complete. I was waiting for the shelves to arrive to share it with you. Come see how it looks and what I learned!
I shared a peek of the new wallpaper we applied to the dormer ceiling in our family room on my Spring Home Tour. Today I shared more pictures of the finished space and how easy it was to install. I also shared the saga of the Lego’s in this room- there was kind of a little drama with my daughter after I moved them. Thankfully we resolved it…come see our solution.
It has almost been a year since we set up this nursery for our baby boy. I shared what has worked and a few changes we have made- including a new side table. I gave tips on how we painted the furniture in our babies room- the safest way with low VOC- great tips for painting any furniture.
Don’t let the title of this blog post scare you away if you hate pink. Well actually if you hate pink- ummmm you could find something for someone else:)?! We are in the process of painting our piano and this might be a hint to what we are painting it. I did share 12 of my favorite pink things right now from pillows to sandal’s all fresh for Spring.
And if you are one of the people who asked what my daughters dresser is painted and the chair that is up to our piano now- well I shared that in this post too. This blog post just makes me happy!
I sent my husband on a “fun” errand to get 6 different gray paint samples to try on our interior kitchen door. We were ready for a change. We ended up painting it in my husbands first choice and it was actually my last choice. Come see how it looks and what the winning gray was.
I thought about maybe doing shiplap on the walls above our soon to be banquette in our kitchen.
Then I started to think is shiplap a fad? It is everywhere you turn and especially if you watch the show Fixer-uper on HGTV.
I turned to google, since that is my source of reliable information, epically come homework time.
And I found a few opinions on the matter and also some of my favorite images of shiplap. Come read the consensus on shiplap.
This photo was my inspiration for the area by our fridge. It really helps to define the space and created a little “command center” Pop over and see what our the other side of our fridge looks like. And how we make the best use of our space.
