Five Must-Do’s to your Home for Summer!
We went into Brooklynn after Kevin’s NYCFC soccer game. Ate at Grimaldis (the one time I can’t turn down pizza). I shared it on Instagram stories and so many of you said to go to Juliana’s next door (the original owner of Grimaldis). So we will do that next time we go! We got the kids ice-cream at Brooklyn Ice-cream Factory and rode the merry-go-round. Walking across the Brooklynn Bridge is something I also recommend, I just think it is an amazing piece of History. It took 14 years to build! So don’t feel bad if it takes you some time to get your house in order! Good things take time.
Today I joined 3o bloggers to share our home for summer! I personally gave you FIVE Must-do’s to your Home for Summer! Hopefully it inspires you to make some simple changes for this FUN season!

Thanksgiving Table Setting- Bloggers Tour

Healthy Book Club Party with Lettuce Wraps and Cupcakes
My oldest daughter, Ella is eight years old and has been on a kick of wanting to cook things “all on her own.” She has been even more inspired while we have been reading our new favorite book series Disney Star Darlings. She has conquered French Toast, a smoothie and can make a mean peanut butter sandwich for her lunch, so naturally dinner was next. Both of her Aunts were in town this past week so we decided to make a fun “Night of Celebration” like they do in the Star Darlings books. Complete with Tye-Dyed Cupcake Jars and Colorful Healthy Lettuce Wraps, such a easy and great dinner recipe.

Party Slush and Party Favor
This slush recipe has been in our family for four generations. I had asked my mom for family recipes when I was in middle school for a school assignment, this slush was one of the recipes along with caramel popcorn and apple cobbler. It was my great grandma Smart’s recipe, so that is why I call it Smart Slush. I like to make this slush for Holiday parties, Showers or Book clubs really any and every party. Perfect for Easter this coming weekend.

DIY Dream Catchers
I did a Birthday party at our home for our 8 year old Ella. I had looked into going somewhere, because 10 little girls in a 1200 square foot house seemed a bit tight. Then I thought I should not let the size of our home hold us back from enjoying it and doing what she wanted to do. Ella wanted to have a “late night”. So we invited some friends over and made dream catchers, I fed them french toast for dinner with fruit and sausage, we watched the movie Pan (which is similar to Peter Pan, we all loved it) then played our favorite birthday game “who knows Ella best” you can find it HERE and did a little dancing. We topped the night off with brownies and mint ice-cream as per the birthday girls request. The dream catchers were the highlight of the night, a big hit. This is how we made them-
