Our New Stair Runner, a Steam Mop Update and Friday Favorites
If you follow me on instagram, you already saw, but we got a STAIR RUNNER! I just love it so much. When we first moved into our home, I thought we'd be okay with just the hardwood floors. After a couple near death experiences, we knew some skid-proofing would be necessary. Truthfully, I would have added one anyway! The staircase is the first thing you see when you come to our home. It is like a big welcome mat that sets the tone for your whole visit. We went ahead and refinished our stairs when we did the hardwood on the main floor. They are so much lighter and I love them! While we ... Read More
Inside our Kitchen Cabinets- Organizing Ideas
We added about 125 square feet to our kitchen. It is now full of glorious storage for plates and dishes and food! However, sometimes when we get more space (whether from moving or de-cluttering or renovating), it can be tempting to start filling that space right back up with things. Anyone else? I have learned so much from living in our small home about staying on top of the "stuff" that we have and keeping things organized and tidy, that I was determined to put our kitchen back together in an organized and efficient way. We didn't add more- just can now put things in cupboards that was spread ... Read More
Nestle Down Ideas- When you are Stuck at Home!
I have 13 things you could do right now while we are all nestled in at home. If you are like me achieving things gives me energy and boosts my mood. Do one small thing a day, especially if you have kids at home and you are trying to be a teacher too (praise to all the teachers!!!). Don't get overwhelmed but I think we could all benefit if we do something. We have rain in our forecast and rather than cry (which I might do too) I am going to have the kids help us get the house ready, so when the sun shines we can head out and enjoy it. Focus on what we CAN do not what we can't do! 13 Nestle Down ... Read More
Friday Favorites- New Appliances, Kitchen Hardware and new Rug!!!
I thought I would share some favorites from the week, since it has been a big week!!! Hopefully everyone is staying well and cozy at home. Praying for peace and wellness for all of you. It is a hard scary time right now and I know it isn't easy for many. We are taking all the vitamins, making healthy smoothies, washing our hands and using all our Thieves. Trying to do our best to support our wellness. Maybe my post will be a nice distraction from the news. We had workers installing our backsplash today and putting our cabinet hardware on all our cabinets. And remember from my last post I ... Read More

30 Days to a Toxin-Free Life!
Swap out harsh, chemical-laden products with these solutions made with naturally derived ingredients. Many of the personal care products you use daily could also have hidden chemicals or harsh dyes and fragrances. Read the labels on everything to see where you can make improvements. I personally use Think Dirty App to check all of my products or I check them on EWG. Tip- I use google to search for items I want to check on EWG (their website can be tricky) just type in google "top dish soap on EWG"! Most of Young Livings Products aren't on EWG, so I just read the ... Read More
When to Fertilize Plants and Repotting Houseplants
I LOVE houseplants. I look around my house and majority of my home decor is a houseplant. Houseplants never go out of style. Being in the design industry since I was 15 years old I think I am a little jaded, honestly I just got tired of things quicker. But not my houseplants. It brings me so much joy to see new growth because of the care I put into a houseplant. It is like a child learning something new, but like 99% easier than teaching a child something new. Ha! One of the most asked questions I have been getting lately is "Do you fertilize your houseplants?" So I thought I would write a ... Read More
