Hello it's a nice Fall Friday! Today for my Friday Favorites I thought I would highlight some of my favorite baskets. All of my sources for Large Lidded Baskets to start. These large lidded baskets are great for laundry and toys. Really anything you need to store but don't want to see inside. Also sharing favorite baskets for plants that double as great baskets for Christmas tree's too. Anything that does double duty is a win in my book! I have THIS large lidded basket for laundry in our bedroom. It is one of my favorite baskets. I really want to get the medium one for my girls room. It ... Read More

Small Space Living Feature- You won’t believe this RV!
I am back with a Small Space Living Feature. I am very excited about this small living tour, you will not believe this RV! And not only how charming it is but you can see they are thriving living small. Lauren from @thearrowanglers her hubby and baby are living in a 300 square foot RV and she shares why they made the move from an 800 square foot home with us today. As for me I walked away from this blog post today thinking less is so much more! I have a tendency to collect too much- even with clothes, which is ok- it is just about taking something out when you bring in more. Also this ... Read More
Our Utah Home Tour plus Downsizing and Moving Tips
We have lived in Connecticut for almost four years! Utah was where we lived before the home you see so much of now on the blog. I thought it would be fun to share our Utah home with you. I stopped by our old home last night to take a picture of the exterior. This home was close to three times the size of our Connecticut home, 3200 square feet. Thankfully I did have some interior photos to share with you. Along with the home tour I have some Moving and Downsizing Tips for you- what I wish we would have read before we moved. There is more to the story of stopping by to ... Read More

We won't be seeing inside all the cupboards on this post, but you will still get some great ideas! Her kitchen cabinets are all open so you really can get a feel of what they have! Friday Favorites starts with new Shower Curtain
We have been in Yellowstone part of the week and in Utah celebrating the 4th of July with family and friends. Our new shower curtain for our main floor bathroom came in right before we left and I quickly got it up and took some pictures to share. The shower curtain has black in it rather than navy like our previous one. It flows better through the rest of our home since we have gotten rid of the navy and added more black. But oh that old shower curtain was a favorite from all of you, it got the most questions than any other thing in our house! Sadly it is discontinued. One reader knew I have ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Summer and Affordable Home Decor
Our kids had their last day of school yesterday! They each had a friend over and played outside all day. Loving our play-set and water under the trampoline. It is always a bitter-sweet day. Ella was too excited to be sad, but Lola said she was sad because she would miss school and her friends. Our kids go back to school the last week in August. I know this summer will fly by for us. We are headed to Yellow Stone National Park soon and a trip to Utah to see family and friends. What summer plans do you have? I will make this Friday Favorites quick! But if you have noticed with me, no blog post ... Read More
Kids Chore Chart- Great for a Summer Chart
Anyone love summer break with kids, but also get a little scared? I am serious. I get scared that they will be standing around me asking what to do next or me reminding them constantly to read, practice math and all the other things that kids need to do to keep their brain active! I love when everyone feels productive and knows the plan. We enjoy getting out and doing active things. BUT I believe there are things that kids need to take ownership of daily. Just like adults. This will help them to feel empowered. It is also a leveraging tool to say "we can't go do an activity until you list ... Read More
Small Space Living Series- Organizing Hacks in Our 1200 Square Foot Home
Today I am finally sharing our home for the Small SpaceLiving Series! All of our organizing hacks and ideas. I took a video of all of the places we keep our stuff, so make sure to watch that at the end of this post so you can see our basement too...where the laundry is. I am warning you now, it is basic. I really don't want to do anything fancy to it, my goal would actually have it be almost empty besides the necessities and extra water! We try our hardest to keep it clean and organized because if it isn't it takes up space in my brain. Anyone else like that? Let's get right after it and ... Read More
Small Space Living Series- Mini Series with TWO Kitchens
I have two Small Space Living Mini-Series features for you! We are talking about kitchens. You may not have a small home but you could have a small kitchen. Or you could have a great kitchen and no pantry. These two kitchens just might inspire you like they did me! I believe you can love your kitchen, no matter the size. It can be organized and look gorgeous! It can be functional and stylish. Both of the kitchens are examples of that. First-up is my friend Annie from Most Lovely Things. I shared her home HERE on my blog. While I was there I took pictures of the "behind the scenes" ... Read More
Entrance to the Basement- Wallpaper in unexpected places
Our little 1950's cape does have an unfinished basement that won't ever be finished due to the fact that we live in a flood zone. Or if we add onto our home we would have to fill it in. We use the basement daily because it is also our laundry room, extra pantry, supply room, tool room, playroom (has a fuse-ball table) and more! It did not have a very welcoming entrance, leaving one of my kids afraid to go down there. I thought it would be a great place to add a fun wallpaper and of course a "Magic Light"! Basement Entrance BEFORE- It is funny how you live with something and ... Read More
