We have had Spring Break all week for my girls. We did a little staycation. We went to the Zoo, rode bikes, played at the beach, parks and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. This Easter Sunday it is supposed to be high 70's here in CT and we are thrilled! We have some fun things planned for Easter. Sad to be away from family on Holiday's but looking forward to making some yummy things for my family for Easter dinner and breakfast. I am sharing some Easter Recipes that caught my eye this past week while planning our Easter menu, a new way we tried for coloring our Easter eggs and some other ... Read More

Friday Favorites starts with Doormats
I am getting antsy to freshen up our front porch. It has been so rainy here in CT. I told the girls, April showers bring May flowers and they couldn't stop singing it all morning yesterday. It was cute and I am really hoping that all this rain will bring gorgeous flowers to our front yard! I am working with Joss and Main for a little front porch update first part of May. I am excited to get THIS chair for our front porch. And a new doormat, below are my favorite doormats. 1- Hey Good Lookin HERE /// 2- Well Hello There HERE /// 3- Come as you are HERE 4- Hello its me HERE /// 5- You ... Read More
Friday Favorites-starts with Cherry Blossoms
I shared the above photo this time last year on my Instagram account. I keep looking for cherry blossom branches at my local Trader Joes or Whole Foods. No sign of them yet. I can remember how excited I was when I spotted them last year. They made me so happy whenever I saw them at my sink. I think it is so important to enhance our surroundings- it lifts our spirits in ways we sometimes are not fully aware of. Whenever I buy flowers I always think of this quote "She created a life she loved." We create it- and it is the small and simple things for me. It could just be cutting a branch ... Read More

Kitchen Details- What we keep on our kitchen counters
I just read that to be organized you "don't have to hide everything away." That is so true- having a few things handy out on our kitchen counters has been a huge time saver! Just find the best looking version of what you want out! I change what is on our kitchen counters about daily. Sometimes it is a little tweek here or there and other times it is a complete overhaul. A few things always stay. I took a couple of quick pics this past Sunday after my hubby gave me my Valentines presents because well he knows my favorite place to shop and knows my favorite place in the house to buy me something ... Friday Favorites starts with Sweet Potato Crust
I posted on my Instagram account the other day that I made all our meals for the entire week after a couple episodes of Gilmore Girls (just started that series on Netflix and like it!). I tried something new in my baking craze. I had been wanting to try sweet potato pie crust for some time now. Who am I kidding, if it involves a sweet potato I want to try it. We make a frittata about once a week either for dinner or for breakfast. I love it because it is full of healthy veggies and protein. I liked the idea of making it into a quiche with a crust and honestly it was just as fast to make or ... Read More
Paint Night Birthday Party
Ella just turned 9! What a fun, witty, sassy little thing she is. She wanted to have her Birthday party at our home again this year. The day of her scheduled party she was sick. She was so bummed. Then the day of her re-scheduled party three girls were sick. Personally I thought it was nice to have a smaller group. We had a paint night and it was a big hit, everyone loved the painting! This would be so fun to do with a bunch of girl friends or even with couples. I went to a paint night at a restaurant with some friends and it was a lot of fun- but it would be way more affordable to do ... Read More
Friday Favorites- Starts with Pinterest Top 100
I am back with my favorites from this past week. I keep notes on the random things I come across and enjoyed and thought you would too! First of all Pinterest is the greatest. Gone are the days of ripping out magazine pages and saving them. I was really excited when I heard about this- Pinterest complies all the pins that are trending and they forecast what will be popular in 2017 Pinterest list of "Top Pins for 2017" These were my FAVORITES from that list- "Navy is the new black of home decor" and since navy is my favorite color- this has me (!!!!) You know when you come across something great you want to tell your sister, friends and anyone who will listen? Well these are mine. All my favorites this past week that inspire or things I love wrapped up in a quick blog post! I read THIS article this past week "10 things to make you happier at home." And of course it starts with making your bed. I shared the above photo of my bed on my Instagram last night and ... Read More
Word of the Year- See it daily
I know that picking a word of the year is not a new concept. But I love it. I can remember when my former boss told me they were having all the managers pick ONE word for the year that sums up their goals for the year and they read THIS. I loved the idea of picking one word to define my goals. That year I picked CONNECT for my word. I had just moved to Connecticut and felt a little lonely away from all my friends and family I loved. So I decided I would try to CONNECT with new friends, CONNECT with God, CONNECT with my hubby and CONNECT with people on my blog and Instagram account. Having ... Read More
