Gift Ideas to have On-hand
I am always looking for great gifts to have on-hand. The biggest stress to me is having to rush out the night before a party and grab a hostess gift. Or forgetting to get something for the piano teacher, the bus driver, the dance teacher, school teacher, you name it, I have forgotten and it is a mad dash to find something. These are all such great gifts that ANY woman would love. So mark it on your to-do list and grab it when you are out or better yet order it online now while you are thinking about it and thank me later! New String Art- For Christmas
I love the look of String Art and I had been wanting to try my hand at it- honestly it seemed really hard just looking at the images I saw on Pinterest. Most tutorials I saw required that you use an overhead projector to make the design, I don't know about you but I don't have one of those laying around. I shared how I made the first string art design I ever did HERE. Christmas is getting closer and I wanted to give the string art a seasonal change too. Sadly the first design I tried was a #fail. I didn't give up, I tried again and ended up with a really cute Christmas Design. I took ... Read More
Christmas Tradition- A New Book about Kindness
Thank you Penguin Young Readers for sponsoring this post. We love to read and collect Christmas books. It is a tradition in our home to buy a new Christmas book for our family every year. I was so excited when I was introduced to North Pole Ninjas. Once I read it with my family I knew it was something I wanted to share with others. This book got us all excited because it has a mission and has a purpose to generate kindness by helping, caring and listening to others. To be honest when I first heard the title of the book I thought it was something my girls would not like, only boys. I was ... Read More
A Christmas Countdown- With Purpose
We have to have a countdown to Christmas at our home...or I will get asked every day how many more days until Christmas. Really my girls could use a countdown calendar for every Holiday. It is actually Lola's Birthday the end of November and we have a countdown calendar for her birthday going right now. I know it is early but I have to get a head start on these things- we go see family in December so I like to get our Christmas up early to actually enjoy it. I do look forward to the calendar maybe just as much as my kids do. I love to set it up and typically look for a different place ... Read More
Clients Classic Christmas Home Tour
If you follow me and have read some of my other posts you know that I moved to CT in January of 2015. We are back for Christmas in UT to celebrate with our family. While I am here I get to help some of my past design clients put up Christmas. This is the home of one of my favorite clients. I helped her and her husband build their home from the ground up close to 6 years ago. It was such a fun project, you can see more photos of their home HERE. They wanted it light and fresh and so much of it we would do again right now. I am going to share her Classic Christmas Home tour with you. I ... Read More
