My mother in law jokes that we have the hardest working kitchen in the country! She may be right. We cook at home and feed our family of five whole foods everyday. We also love to have house guests and entertain. (YES, you CAN entertain in a small home!) When we are home, we are generally in this kitchen space. So I need my appliances to be 100% practical and useful! I am going to share a super easy family healthy dinner idea all made in the hardest working appliance. I have had to ditch appliances that I only occasionally used. And I am totally thrilled with this new appliance, we had family ... Read More
My Workout- that has brought me RESULTS!
I started working out when I was about sophomore in high school. I signed up for a gym membership and would go every morning at 6 am, before high school. I loved step class! Really any class. I was not part of a team in high school or a group. I tried out for high school basketball when I was a sophomore and made it to the last cuts. I was devastated. Only because I failed. And actually how to survive the "hangry" part of the day for the entire family. For two weeks in a row I carved out some time at the start of the week to prep some meals to feed us for the entire week. Dinner time can be the most ... Read More
Whole 30 and Paleo- How I survive
I can list about 10 people I know who are are trying to eat better and are giving Whole 30 or Paleo a try with the new year. I have shared before on THIS post that I have eaten Paleo for about 3 years. I was not as strict while I was pregnant and while I have been nursing. I didn't want to restrict anything for risk of losing my milk, I ate oats, dairy and wheat when I wanted it. Now that Finn is 9 months I have started again to be a 95% Paleo eater. I have to admit I did try macro counting for about two solid months. I got burned out on that real fast, I don't have the time to weigh all my ... Read More
