Today we are peeking into the home of Londen who shares her home over on Sixth Fifth Avenue on Instagram. They are a family of three living in an 1152 square foot 1940's home in Chicago. They have two bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. I really enjoyed seeing how Londen maximized all their small spaces and so beautifully and simply. That is what really caught my eye, she has nice pieces that make a statement. In small homes a lot of little things can feel overwhelming, I am constantly working on that in our small spaces. Notice how she uses real plants as the decor, my favorite way ... Read More
Small Space Living Series- 1143 square feet with The Ranch Uncommon
Back with the Small Space Living Series today! This 1143 square foot home is so well thought out and executed. You are going to get a lot of storage solutions ideas from The Ranch House Uncommon. The first time I was exposed to The Ranch House Uncommon was from Country Living Magazine. After I read the article I found Jennifer over on Instagram and fell hard for her ideas! Notice the light above the sink is ... Read More

It is a good time to refresh, move things from room to room and to ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with ways to Make the Most of Everything
On my Instagram the other day. I talked about how my really good friend lived in a small house in Downtown Salt Lake City. Most homes in that area are older, just like mine and smaller scale. I have to say I LOVED driving up to her home and passing the small quant restaurants all glowing at night. She lived on the most charming street, one of those streets you want to get out and walk so you can peep in the windows. Well one of downsides to this charming area and home is lack of storage. Back then we lived in 3,000 square feet in a new residential area. I have to admit I was a little horrified ... Read More

Hello! I have been asked a handful of times- "what is on the other side of your fridge?" No? You haven't asked that? Well I am going to tell you, I am sure you are totally interested now. It is actually one of the hardest 2'x2' working spots in our home. It really is all about maximizing every inch in a small kitchen, actually a small home for that matter. First I wanted to show you what inspired this space in our kitchen. I found THIS photo from Country Living Magazine. This home has a small kitchen too and a small home actually. I wish I had room for a little desk ... Read More
