It’s that time of year where you can’t help but drive around your neighborhood and feel all warm and fuzzy. We were out of town over Thanksgiving and as we drove back through our neighborhood, it had transformed to a beautiful glowing scene. I felt so much love and gratitude for the efforts of our community. Neat to see so many people wanting to spark some magic and joy.
I got ants in my pants to get our house all a glow. I don’t think we will get lights on our house because we don’t have rain gutters yet, hoping they arrive sometime this month. So instead of worrying about lights on the house, I put lights on the porch!
We did swap out the black hanging chair for this rattan hanging chair we had in our Connecticut house. I love both, just wanted to try this light chair here to pop more off the back on the house. We moved the black hanging chair to our pergola in the backyard, I will have to show you that soon.
The metal house is still going strong! Pumpkins for fall and chopped wood for winter! We get use out of it for about half the year.
Our wreaths are real bay leaf that dried so beautiful. I hung with on the glass with command hooks. Then layered bells over the front instead of ribbon. If you missed it, I have details on our doors HERE.
Exterior rug I layered this buffalo check rug on the bottom with this rope knot rug over the top. Love the extra glow of the candles in the lanterns too. I have these battery operated candles all over our home, they look so real with the flame flicker.
Our boxwood trees and topiaries will last through the winter, as long as I still water them!
Peek inside at our tree in our family room. I really love the look of a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree, I feel like they go with the look of our mountain modern home. Our porch is covered, so this will all be protected from the snow.
Looking forward to welcoming guests this holiday season and hopefully put a smile on our neighbors faces!
