Primary Bedroom Cloud Wallpaper, Terracotta Walls (we tried and failed) Printed Sheets
If you saw on my Instagram, we tried terracotta paint on our primary bedroom walls. I had gotten a paint sample, tried a large section on the wall, and even did a design plan to help visualize it. So we decided to go for the bold terracotta paint on the walls. We had painters painting the girls shiplap ceilings, so we asked them to paint our bedroom too. I didn't see the room the entire day while they painted. After it was finished….I didn't love it, but thought maybe I needed to style it. If I was painting it myself I probably would have stopped, and not done the entire room or just done one ... Read More

Front Yard Walkway Solar Lights and Fall Back Porch
I was walking home with some neighborhood friends after book club and we were commenting on how dark a lot of the houses were and the streets. My friend said "it used to be so dark on our street, until your house!" I laughed and said I guess my house is bright at night. We even added new solar lights up the path that make me extremely happy! I can't wait for Halloween when the path is glowing for all the tick or treaters. Sharing our solar path lights and a few other fall finds to elevate your outdoors with Lowes and their Labor Day Sale. Thank you Lowes for sponsoring this post Solar ... Read More
Recipe for Making a Cozy Bed always Starts with a Mattress
I have a recipe I use to make all our beds, a formula that makes for an extra cozy, fluffy bed. The recipe always starts with a comfortable, non-toxic mattress! If you don't have a comfortable mattress what is the point of all the extra fluff? Three years ago, I was on a mission to find a toxic-free mattress, we spend a lot of time sleeping! I try to do better with each new purchase and find the best option that has the lowest amount of toxins. When we moved into our new home, we needed to buy more mattresses and I decided to try a non-toxic brand. The first night I was in love. No adjustment ... Read More
New Sofa in Family Room
When we first moved into this house 2 years ago I had a plan for the family room furniture and I loved it immediately after we installed everything. Fast forward to a couple months ago I decided to try a larger rug in the family room area. I had originally went with an 8x10 rug because I didn't want to block the glass doors leading to our back patio. Turns out we only ever opened one of the doors, and if we needed to open both doors, we still could because the doors swing out. With a larger rug, there was more space for a larger sofa, so I sold our original sofa and got a larger one. Ready to ... Read More
