Fall Hosting Table Setting and Recipe Ideas

It’s the perfect time of year to invite friends or family over for an Autumn dinner party. Fall feels like the time to get cozy with candlelight and good food. My mom hosts us every fall for an Octoberfest dinner that is always so yummy. And then the kids get to pick pumpkins my dad grows! Sharing some fall recipes we love and table setting idea!

Step one was finding flowers that coordinated with my tablecloth, and napkins. Love Dahlias, Eucalyptus, Chamomile, and Hypericum Berries for fall, I found them all at Trader Joe’s.

For the tablecloth I used two Shower Curtains! My table is long so I knew I would need two, even when we hosted for Thanksgiving or really any family party, we would pull out the longer tables. So I put two together, you can sew, or I just used this fabric tape and fold under (or trim) the side that had slots for curtain hooks then overlapped to secure fabric tape together.

For our fall table setting I keep a lot of the items I use to set and style the table in our cabinets. I love to buy the cutest version of things so I can use them as decor and for practical reasons too!

I was also thrilled to find these hand blocked tablecloths, that come in a lot of sizes, I paired mine with these gingham napkins.

First I set up the place settings. If you are going to be putting out table decor you’ll want to see what you need and avoid putting together too much. We placed these Scalloped Dinner Plates first, layered the Mushroom Purple Bowl on top then placed Embroidered Napkins with Gold flatware.

Every plate has a thoughtfully planned out spot for our guests with a Boxed Cards for Name Tags so they know where to sit.

Flowers from Trader Joe’s for the table, I wanted to add some height.

These are the Glass Vase filled with different flowers. Mixed with Brass Candlestick and these flameless candles.

I set up a drink station too! Using this pumpkin drink dispenser (this is a less expensive version) for our Fall Punch.

Lastly, I bring out food to the table.

We love beets. Plus I knew the color of the beets would be so fitting for our table inside this Ribbon Serving Bowl, This is the beet salad recipe we used, we do not cook our own beets. Perfect happy with store bought beets. Plain or pickled works for this salad. We also swapped the feta for goat cheese this time.

Any bread that is warm and baked with love at home, we love, we actually devour. We filled our Radicchio Serving Bowl with our freshly baked rolls.

This is the quickest recipe we have ever used! You’ll have warm rolls in a little over an hour, including bake time! In this homemade rolls recipe they form into balls, we like to roll ours up like a croissant. For that, after our initial rise of the rolls, we split our dough in half. Then on a floured surface roll out the dough, into a round pizza shape, then cut it like a pizza. You should have 12 pizza shaped pieces. Then starting at the wide end, roll it up, place on pan and let rise again. Whatever option you choose, you will love these rolls!

On the large Floral Detailed Copper Platter we have our favorite pumpkin cupcakes (recipe HERE)! They are the perfect fall dessert. And they look so pretty displayed.
