This was a dream design project for dream clients. I was able to help them from the start of the building process. Selecting the floors, tile, paint, lighting and fully furnishing it.
Lastly I was able to do my favorite part, accessorize. I first helped these clients with a vacation home in St. George Utah. She has became such a loyal design client. After this project I helped them with a home in Philly where they are currently serving a service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I designed this home in 2010, close to 6 years ago we started the design process. There are things that we are going to work on updating. But for the most part they love everything about it, 6 years later. I know that is because we kept it light and fresh when the design trend was darker and more of a heavy traditional look. We did what she was drawn to and what I knew to be timeless design choices.
Sitting space right off of the kitchen.
Their light floors and white kitchen cabinets are a big factor in what keeps the home feeling up to date. We used Mountain Peek White from Benjamin Moore on all of their trim, cabinets and doors. She loved yellow, and that is what she still loves for her walls.
Quilt Room and Craft Room
Cute little bathroom
One of two that have wallpaper. I will have to go back to her home and take some more photos of all the gorgeous details. There are a lot more bedrooms and inspiration to share. I designed this home when I worked at The Black Goose Design. All of the home furnishings were purchased there.
