I design around things that have a story and mix in funky trendy pieces. I have 18 years experience at a design firm. Soft Serve Ice Cream or Hard Ice Cream? What team

Soft Serve Ice Cream or Hard Ice Cream? What team are you? I am 100% soft serve🙌🏻 We have been loving our new ice cream maker from @walmart ! Fun to make your own ice cream and way easy. Plus pop in the freezer if you prefer hard ice cream. Recipe below…

INGREDIENTS:
•2 cups heavy cream
•1 1/2 cups whole milk
•3/4 cup granulated sugar
•1 tbsp vanilla extract
•1 1/2 cups mix-in’s! crushed cookies, fresh smashed berries, chopped up candy or nuts, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS:

•Prep your ice cream machine according to directions. Some machines require you to freeze the bowl first.
•Turn on machine and let it start to churn. Slowly add all ingredients into your ice cream maker bowl, while it is churning (we did not mix separately beforehand).
•Keep it churning until it looks like frozen yogurt (about 25-35 minutes).
•If you are adding in cookies or any mix-in’s, wait until the last 10-15 minutes to add.
•If you want ice cream to be scoop-able you’ll want to freeze the mixture for at least a few hours.
•Dish into bowls when ready to serve. Add desired toppings. Enjoy!!!!!

Spring is the best time to repot your houseplants! Not only is it good to repot in the next size up, but it is good to refresh the soil.🪴Today I am repotting two of my Ficus Triangularius plants into ONE planter! Excited for this Union! First step, get a planter, the next size up from what your plant is in currently. This doesn’t mean you need to go buy an expensive planter. You can simply get the next size up in the same plastic grow pot. I am using a 5 gallon plastic planter I got from our local nursery. #AD I read that ideally we should open windows for 15 minutes a day to improve indoor air quality. Do you do this?? It actually gave me energy as I refreshed my bedding for spring! Freshly washed sheets with a spritz of linen spray, layered with gorgeous bedding all from @target My favorite is the Dutch Euros (I have had for a couple years) and the new block print quilt. Almost a year and a half using this kitchen! Swipe for the before if you missed it 🤍 There are a few things I would change after living with it, want to hear? In the meantime I have about 10+ kitchen items I love and use daily…from a 4 year old cutting board to my favorite plates and measuring cups. My rule for buying kitchen items to a pair of scissors is they must be good looking too so they can double as decor. Win, win! Most everything on my shelves we use daily.

Two of my favorite plant styling hacks! Buying lar

Two of my favorite plant styling hacks! Buying large plants can get expensive, two tips to make smaller plants make a big statement! 🪴#1- Give your plant height, by putting on a hidden box inside a tall basket. Make sure to use a water tray to protect basket and floor. I also like to hide the gap in the basket and pot with a cut liner on top and moss. Had this Audrey Ficus in here 2 years and it’s thriving!!! Still happy in the nursery pot that it came in.
🪴#2- Create an extra large plant by putting 3 in a large basket or pot with a liner inside. (My basket is 20” wide with three snake plants!)

Photos of the makeover, fun to swipe for before ♥️Don’t you just love Nash?? We have been friends with his parents since high school, so fun they let us take over Nash’s room and give it a makeover! Favorite perk of my job. This is his dream bed, with a place to draw. Nash said that his friend spent 3 hours in here after the makeover, instead of the normal 3 minutes. After I heard that story I brought in an extra chair for his friend and his twin sister Navy, so they could “play school” (my personal favorite activity as a kid too)! We gifted a makeover to the happiest 9 year old, Nash! His dream bed is a loft bed, with a space to draw and create. Found this cool, sturdy loft bed from @homedepot Very happy with how this small (9x11) room turned out. Was worried the bigger bed would make the room feel cramped, it actually feels bigger! He said “my friend normally gets bored after 3 min in my room, but he played 3 hours in here with me!” ❤️ Get all the sources on Nestingwithgrace.com

Help me wish Don a Happy Birthday! The guy who kee

Help me wish Don a Happy Birthday! The guy who keeps us laughing and always has a smile on his face. One of my favorite things about him is, if you mention something you want to do, consider it done. We were at his moms helping her decorate and she mentioned that the boxes in the basement were bothering her, 30 minutes later the boxes are out of the basement and broken down. Lola says she wants to try being a flyer, I look over and she is on her dads shoulders doing a stunt. Ella was bummed soccer practice got canceled, Kevin drives her to a field for one on one training. Finn says he wants to try fishing, they are off to a lake. I say one word about a project, he asks what he can do to help or don’t say a food you’re craving…it will be delivered to your door 🤍 Kevin you make wishes come true, Happy Birthday!
🎉 PS- happy he got his wish of his own FITNESS APP!! Worked very hard on it and it will only get better! Thank YOU for supporting him!!! (Check it out in my highlight “fitness app”)
