I shared on my Instagram stories the other day that I am wanting to paint my piano. I mentioned it here too. Right now it is painted in Paris Gray Chalk Paint. It has been this color for maybe 6 years. I am ready for a change! Since we are in the process of switching up the furniture in our front room right now, it is the perfect time. So I was originally thinking white, but it just didn’t feel right. I had the can of white paint sitting on the piano ready to go. But I wasn’t feeling it. I already have two pieces painted white in the room not to mention our wall of built-in bookcases are white.
So white was a no. I actually had someone message me and say “please don’t paint your piano white.” I thought that was funny but totally get it. While white is timeless it is also safe.
I thought about a dark navy since navy is the new black of 2017.
Then it came to me PINK! Paint the piano pink!
We have a few key signature pieces already in our home that are pink. I actually get emails or messages often asking what I painted my daughters pink dresser in their room and the pink chair we have up to our painted piano now. While I was studying pink paints I matched up the pink paint colors that are on those signature pieces and thought I would share them.
DREAM WHIP 2174-60 from Benjamin Moore
The girls antique pink dresser was actually already painted the perfect pink when I bought it. I was able to find a really good pink that matched it well.
You can find the angel art HERE
PINK RUFFLE 2081-50 from Benjamin Moore
The pink chair was also an antique find that was already painted in that funky pink. I was able to find a pretty close match.
Here is a peek of the start of our piano getting a fresh coat of pink! Yes, my husband is awesome.
We are trying out THIS Rust-Oleum Blush Pink paint, it was really a great price and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Antoinette on the piano.
Since I had pink on the brain I thought I would share some of my favorite things that are all about pink and feel like spring. I have #5 pillow coming and I really want #2 Salt Water Sandals.

Favorite Pink Doors Inspiration-
I couldn’t stop searching for pink inspiration. These pink doors caught my eye and I had to share. Would you dare to paint your front door pink? Or maybe your door is already pink. Love to hear if it is. I actually had a couple people message me and tell me their pianos were painted pink already and that they love them.
Hopefully I will share soon our piano in all its pink glory soon!

Hi! I’ve noticed recently you’ve taken down most of the wallpaper you put up last year in your daughters room and in the living room. I’m wondering if it was easy to peel off-if it stayed in tact for maybe saving for later? And if it left any markings behind on the wall? I’m loving the pink. I’m actually, again, one of those who have asked about that pink chair. *blushing*. I can’t wait to see how your piano turns out. I hope you do an updated home tour post for spring. 🙂
Yes:) you have a good eye! I did take it down. The troubles of being a blogger…always changing. I really did love it. It was SO easy to take down and it did not leave any marks at all. The paper I had from Chasing Paper could be saved for later if you saved the backing (in my opinion) but others I have used could not. The chasing paper one was really thick and seemed it would last.
I will be doing a spring tour the week of the 20th this month!
Glad I answered your pink question!
Love love!!!!
Thanks!!
I LOOOOOOOVE the piano in pink. I was really hoping you wouldn’t paint it white =). Love the pink doors. I want to paint mine pink, but the siding of our house is an odd color. So I’m thinking purple. May just bite the bullet & do it. I want a new front door anyways… so if I mess it up or it looks gross… perfect opportunity to get a new door!
thank you!! Yes, white would have been lame!
Oh my gosh purple would be wild and totally you! do it! do it!
So cute!! Makes me want to paint something now… off to Lowe’s I go!!
oh yes! Or that pink bedding would do the trick!
Pink has been my favorite color all my life. Love all the pink stuff!
Thanks! I agree- It is mine too! It just makes me happy!
First of I love that you have that piano. I don’t have one and even though I don’t play it either, I really want one. You can NEVER go wrong with pink! It livens any thing or space. I actually have been wanting to paint my front door pink and even have the same pins on my board. We have a Spanish style home and I’m not sure how that would look. Plus the door is original and has an amazing design that I don’t want to ruin it. I’m torn because we are getting ready to paint the outside of the house too…What would you do?
You are so sweet- it is so fun to have a piano and music played.
I think you are right not to paint it, but it is so tempting! Maybe find a door inside you could paint!
Thanks so much for your comment:)
Oooh. I love all of these pink things! The piano is going to look great pink. So soft and summery. Is the pink dresser is the girl’s room a matte flat paint or semi-gloss. I’ve always loved that. I have an old marble top dresser of my grandmothers that I want to paint that color.
Thanks Donna- I would say it is a semi-gloss. That sounds darling!
I’m loving pink right now too! And that dresser is so perfect, I need to find one like that for my little girls’ room.
