We are living in an apartment and will be until July….and don’t want to jinx it, but could be August. Which would be fine, we are really enjoying our apartment! While we are living in this rental I can’t help but style it and bring our families personality into the decor. I know many of you live in long-term rentals and short-term rentals so hopefully this post helps you too! I believe we can all create a home with purpose and joy no matter where it is.

4 Kitchen Styling Tips- Rental Friendly
#1- Hang some Peel and Stick Wallpaper– I couldn’t help myself. An hour free before church, some extra peel and stick wallpaper from my collection….what is a girl to do, besides go for it! No need for wallpaper paste or fancy tools. You just peel the back of the wallpaper off and it sticks right to the wall. And best part, it can easily be removed and not damage your wall!

After I finished installing the peel and stick wallpaper it instantly made me happy!!! My kids all said how much they liked it too.

#2- Add Colorful Small Appliances- If you are wanting to add some color, but not use wallpaper 🙂 or paint. Then mixing in cute colorful appliances could be the thing for you. Practical and fun. All our appliances were packed away and we were missing a blender, toaster and our electric kettle. Luckily Drew Barrymore came out with the cutest appliances!

I LOVE this new collection, exclusively at Walmart.com. I ordered several things to try out (and share with you). All of it is spot on, so good and a really great value!

- Toaster Oven and Air Fryer in one
- Toaster
- High Performance Touchscreen Blender
- Programmable Touchscreen Coffee Maker
- 6QT Enamel Dutch Oven
- 12-piece Knife Block Set in White
- 6 Quart Touchscreen Air Fryer
- 10 PC Cookware Set– PFOA and PFOS-free
- Electric Kettle
#3- Bring in Plants and you might need a Grow Light Bulb- as we know plants add so much to any room. They not only look so nice, but they help with the air quality! Plants was one of the first things I brought into our rental apartment, they added so much life! I am already thinking of where plants will go in our home.

A grow light bulb is great if you don’t have windows in your kitchen or any other room. In our apartment there aren’t any windows in the kitchen, so a grow light bulb was a really great option to swap out one of our can lights for.

We even put a grow light in the floor lamp that is right next to that large monstera plant.

#4- Cozy Rug- bring in some texture with a rug! I like to do at least a 3×5 under a kitchen sink, or if you have a narrow space a runner is great. We have a simple jute rug under our sink.
