Bedroom Makeover with Color, Charm, and a Whole Lot of Pink Personality

Designing Sophia’s bedroom was one of those projects that instantly sparks excitement. She has the most fun, vibrant personality, so I knew this space needed to reflect that. Full of color, charm, and a little bit of whimsy. And I couldn’t be more excited to incorporate my new Nesting With Grace x Anthropologie collection throughout her space.

Sophia Bedroom Before

Before, Sophia’s room was cool-toned with touches of pink and a clean, minimal feel, ready for a transformation.

After, it’s full of color, pattern, and personality, transforming it into a space that truly feels like her. And everything was created because of my Collection with Anthropologie!

The very first decision we made? Wallpaper. And we didn’t hold back. We chose a soft pink and white floral and wrapped it around the entire room. And then… we kept going. Covering the ceiling in the same print was the best decision. It completely transforms the space and makes it feel cozy, layered, and elevated.

The Statement Bed Moment

We also reworked the layout by moving her bed to the window wall. I always love walking into a room without immediately running into a bed, it makes the space feel bigger and more intentional.

Let’s talk about this bed… the dark pink woven slipcover is so soft and beautiful. It grounds the room while still playing into the feminine, playful vibe. For bedding, we layered pieces that feel both fresh and inviting, highlighting elements from my new Nesting with Grace x Anthropologie collection!

We started with mauve gingham sheets in a crisp cotton percale. Cool, breathable, and perfect year-round. On top, we added a soft green quilt with matching shams that has the sweetest pink wavy edge detail.

Then comes my favorite layer: the Nesting with Grace floral ruffle duvet. It has that smooth, sateen feel that instantly makes everything feel more luxurious.

Paired with matching shams, the bed looks full, styled, and completely irresistible. Her girls are already obsessed, they can’t stop talking about how cozy it is!

Window Treatments That Let the Room Shine

For the windows, I wanted to keep things light and functional. I didn’t want bulky treatments that would hide the beautiful trim or be difficult to open and close. Café curtains in the same pattern from my collection were the perfect solution. They add softness and charm without overwhelming the space.

Balancing Act: Nightstands & Dresser

For the nightstands and dresser, we kept everything within the same collection to create a sense of balance. With so much pattern and color happening throughout the room, it felt important to give the eye a place to rest. We chose a soft, pretty blue finish that subtly pulls away from all the pink.

On each nightstand, we styled a beautiful pink floral lamp topped with the sweetest scalloped shades. Above, we created a collected, mix of art, a darling family photograph in this frame, and a small decorative tray.

On the opposite nightstand, we added a blue floral mirror paired with art to balance the space and tie in those softer blue tones throughout the room.

The dresser now sits where the bed used to be.

Sitting on top is an extra-large art piece that instantly draws the eye and adds impact without overwhelming the room.

We balanced it with a simple staghorn plant in a curvy cement planter and saucer, along with a vase to add height and softness. A pink trinket tray finishes it off, bringing in just the right hint of color.

Fun striped lamp base, styled with one of my Nesting with Grace lampshade! And this jewelry box is a favorite… not only is it beautiful, but it has so much storage, making it as practical as it is pretty.

Get Ready Corner

Across the room, we created a dedicated get-ready spot. A full-length wavy mirror adds the perfect statement while reflecting light and making the space feel larger. Paired with a woven leather ottoman, it’s a comfortable little perch. We added a touch of texture with a rattan plant urn. And of course, every room needs a plant. The fresh pop of green brings life into the space and ties everything together in the most effortless way.

Top to Bottom details

I chose a rattan scalloped light. I wanted it to stand out, but still feel simple and easy within the space.

I chose a playful pink rug to ground the room, adding softness underfoot while tying together all the layered pink tones.

This room feels like Sophia in every way! Bright, welcoming, and full of personality. Exactly how a bedroom should feel.
