Baby Girl Nursery with Crib and Daybed

My friend and neighbor, Stacy just had a sweet baby girl! Her nursery wasn’t finished and I offered to help. She knew she wanted wallpaper but didn’t know where to find it, I pointed her in the direction of my favorite places. She found one she loved and that was our starting off point for the nursery! Very excited she wanted to add some color to this sweet babies room.

Baby Girl Nursery Makeover-

This is the pretty Peacock Blush Wallpaper Stacy picked out! It was playful and made a big impact on the room without having to add a lot of art or pieces. It was a wallpaper paste application, we installed it in a couple hours. Sharing everything else below!

They had someone install shiplap on the ceiling. And then painted it Light Blue from Farrow and Ball. Love how it turned out! Her ceilings are so high, the color and pattern really customized the space.

I found Blue Striped Rug from The Company Store, I like how it complimented the ceiling. (Cute dog not included).

Statement Light-

This light fixture is really fun and a big statement. It is two pieces, the petals that layer over the pendant light. I love how large scale it is.

We added the Linen Green Curtain panels and loved how it brought out the pops of green in the room. We used this simple white rod to hang the panels, and hung two panels on each side.

Crib and Art-

The bedding on this crib is REALLY simple, all you need or should have in their crib is a mattress and fitted crib sheet. I used this darling organic Wild Grove fitted sheet, over this crib mattress. Perfect set up for this darling baby!

She is so sweet, has the cutest little nose!

Above the bed (*out of little hands reach and attached securely to the wall*) is this Sisters,Sister art (code nesting15 for 15% off). I have this in Lola’s room in yellow and it’s a favorite piece. So sweet for these sisters.

Next to the crib, and easy way of adding art, is through books!

I hung 3 metal shelves and placed colorful books to be on display and easy to grab.

Perfect spot to read, feed baby while rocking in her pink rocking chair (very comfortable for such a great price!) and a place to put feet up on this sweet little green plaid foot stool or sit books. There is big sister, Jovie with her new sister, they are so lucky to have each other!

Dresser and Repurposed Bulletin Board-

I found her dresser on FB marketplace for $75! Always search FB marketplace first!

We were going to paint but once we brought into baby girls room the color ended up being perfect! We did take the drawer to The Home Depot to color match it for touch up. We just swapped out the handles for these antique brass handles and the pulls for these green flower pulls. The tiny middle drawer got a fun statement pink knob!

We cut and glued the wallpaper inside the dresser drawers as a protective liner.

We found a big bulletin board at a second hand store for $5, then layered cotton padding under the fabric I had from when covered Lola’s bench cushion. To attach we stapled it to the board. Lastly, I grabbed these trim pieces from Home Depot and attached them with nail pins to frame the board in. Looks so custom!

Love that this dresser fits a changing pad, which most low dressers do, no need to buy a changing table. We used this organic changing pad, with this checkered changing pad cover (great to have two). A scalloped basket is the perfect size to hold loose baby items.
*Just a reminder with the pad sitting on the dresser and art over it….Babies should never be left alone on a changing table, *hands and eyes always on baby here.*

Daybed-

We used this darling white daybed in Stacy’s little girls room. The fun part was matching the crib bedding to the daybed bedding! All the bedding details below.

Mattress Pad– we always start with a mattress pad, adds some cushion and some protection for mattress (waterproof mattress HERE).
Pink Gingham Twin Cool Cotton Sheet Set– LOVE a pattern on a set of sheets, and these are just so cute in the pink.
Peacock Blue Quilt– this air layer quilt is very light, perfect layer to add a pop of bright bright blue-peacock blue! I like mixing patterns, feels extra cozy!
Blue Quilt– I have been wanting to use this handcrafted patchwork quilt in a makeover for a while, it added the right pop of blue and gives that cottage vibe with the floral wallpaper.
Peacock Blue Euro Shams– For the stack of pillows I started with the euro shams, matches the quilt. I did 3 of these Euro’s, going for an extra cozy daybed.
Pink Euro Shams– Another 3 of these, loving all these different color of pinker baby girls room!
Euro Inserts– my go-to euro inserts, I ALWAYS use these (I select firm).
Pillow Inserts (extra firm)– quality inserts make the bed! These are great for decorative pillows, and if you like a full fluffy pillow, you might like to sleep with too!

Diffuser is a must for creating a perfect sleeping environment! We gave her this white fluted diffuser and some kids oils, perfect for a baby, you really only need a couple drops in a babies bedroom to support them. Looks darling on the Rattan Side table.
