I started a Christmas Countdown with my girls a few years ago. They look forward to starting it right after Thanksgiving. It helps us all focus on the real meaning of Christmas, Christ and giving. It is really a fun short activity to do every day to create memories and enjoy this wonderful time of year.
You can make the gifts as elaborate as you like. I like to give them a little treat to eat while we read the coordinating scripture for the day or a little gift to go along with the message or action. I collaborated with Tiny Prints on some of the unique gift ideas.
Here are the details on what I packaged inside some of the gift bags-
Lunch box notes I can’t wait to use these and I love that my girls can write them to each other too. I used these on day 14 in our countdown.
Rudolph thank you cards The vintage Rudolph just got me! I love that they are personalized with my daughters names. I used these on day 4, 13, 14 and 16….so many ways to say thanks.
Rudolph gift stickers Love these matching gift stickers that can go on treats you give to neighbors or on a gift. I used these on day 9, 12, 15 and 16 on our countdown.
Words to live by notebook My girls love to draw and write. These personalized notebooks or journals are perfect for them. I used this on day 3 and they can be used on many of the days that thoughtful questions are asked in the countdown.
Joyful wrapping paper The font on this wrapping is so fun and also the fact they are personalized means so much more. I used these on day 15 of our countdown but can be used on other days where you are encouraged to give to others.
Personalized mug Ok I love these mugs! They are even personalized with my sweet daughters faces. I used these on day 11 on our countdown, but lets be honest they will be used way more than that!
I created little papers to put inside each bag. Each day there is a scripture to read, a question to discuss and something to put into action. Here is an example-
Day 18-
Read- John 8:12 Christ is the light of the world. Christmas candles and lights remind us of his light
Act- Watch “The old shoe maker” on YouTube

I bought Muslin bags and painted numbers on them with Number stencils and used gray paint. It was really easy and fun to do.
You can cut it down to just 12 day Christmas Countdown. Do what works best for you. The purpose is to get you and your loved ones in the spirit of the season!
