Looking around I noticed I have a slight obsession with stools! Thought they deserved a blog post! Some of the rooms I haven’t finished decorating yet in our home, like our dining room and primary bathroom. But wanted to share these happy corners, that are finished! A stool is a great way to complete a space, while also being functional.

This is a spot in our dining room, which I haven’t finished decorating. But we needed something to fill in this empty wall, and this console (I bought that color on clearance) is the perfect thing, plus another place to serve food! But, it did feel empty under the console, and these rope stools filled in the space nicely.

We hosted a brunch the other morning, which we love to do, and these small stools were handy to pull over and use as a chair up to the dining table. They were surprisingly comfortable!

We put a bench behind our sofa instead of a standard sofa table. I like that Arlene bench is another place to sit and chat with someone in the kitchen and the family room.

I have these dipped stools all over the house! My favorite place for them is in a bathroom next to a tub. Great place to put Epsom salts, a place to put your phone or anything else!

A great way to use a stool is as a plant stand. Make a plant look taller than it is, or keep it out of reach of pets!

I thrifted that skinny bench in a shop in California. It was the perfect size by our front door to sit and put shoes on or off. Always be on the lookout for a unique size stool or bench, you can even score them at places like Home Goods!

Lastly, a stool is a nice space filler! I had this ficus tree in our room under a window and it looked too tall and skinny for the space, adding the stool filled in the space better, making it feel more balanced.
