“Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower,
see the good.”
I put out a little bit of fall in my kitchen. My girls start school on Thursday. We like to do a special dinner for them and talk about how to handle different situations and make homemade pizza. Their Dad also gives them a special blessing at the start of every school year, I had them all of my life, you can read more about that HERE.
My girls always appreciate when I decorate for the seasons and Holidays, I thought this would get them excited for school!

I love to use anything in nature to decorate. I don’t have any fake plants in my house…I think they look great in homes but I just prefer the look of fresh in mine. I cut branches off bushes and stick in a glass jar like above. And I love succulents, you don’t have to have a green thumb to keep them alive. I water mine once a week and they thrive.
When we lived in Utah we would hike once a week and could be to some of our favorite hiking spots in less than 15 minutes. Now that we live in Connecticut, we are walking distance to the beach but at least an hour drive to a hike…can’t have it all I guess! We went to a nature center where they have animals to pet and an amazing playground. My Lola collected some acorns that helped to spur on my fall decorating.
My marble mortar I picked up at a second hand store. But I searched and found one for you HERE from Crate and Barrel.
I'm seriously a stalker when it comes to your kitchen Brooke!! I just love the unique floor, the accessories & the non -typical look!! It seriously is my favorite, so well done!!
