Why we Picked our Toxic-Free Mattress

I shared all of our bedding the other day and how we make the bed, and today I am talking about the mattress. I have shared our mattress before, but never pictures and thoughts on each style. Plus they are all on sale!

About a year and a half ago, I was on a mission to find a toxic-free mattress, we spend a lot of time sleeping! I try to do better with each new purchase and find the best option that has the lowest amount of toxins. I did share the non-toxic mattresses we bought, I almost sent them back, they were on the firmer side, but after about a week I adjusted to it. So when we moved we needed to buy more mattresses and I decided to try another non-toxic brand. The first night I was in love. No adjustment period. Sharing our favorite mattresses, all on sale!

Tuft & Needle is one of the highest rated toxic-free mattress brands. I like that the mattresses are made in the U.S. and are more affordable than most toxic-free mattresses. Tuft & Needle is CertiPur label which means it is certified to contain no harmful chemicals, heavy metals, PBDEs, phthalates, formaldehyde or carcinogens. I did partner with them. But bought all our mattresses long before partnering with them!

Hybrid Mattress-

In our Primary Bedroom we have the Tuft & Needle, Hybrid Mattress (no box spring). It is so good. Great for all types of sleepers. I sleep on my stomach and Kevin sleeps on his back. I loved that you can sit on the edge and it doesn’t sink in. And not sure how they do it, but it offers heat regulation. We also have this mattress in our guest room. Kevin’s dad and step mom slept on the guest bed and raved about how nice the mattress was! Love when guests enjoy their sleeping experience here, hopefully they gave us a good review 😉.
Our down duvet insert (medium), is from Tuft & Needle too, one of the best duvet inserts I have owned. The cover is this linen duvet cover (sand).

T&N Original Mattress-

We have the T&N Original Mattress on Lola’s, Finn’s and one of the twin beds in our guest room. It is the starting out price point and it is really comfortable! I do recommend this Mattress Protector on all mattresses (tested and free from harmful levels of more than 300 concerning chemicals). Lola’s bed doesn’t need a box spring either.

This is one of our guest rooms. I really like that the T&N Original Mattress is lighter in weight than other twin mattresses we have. Making it easy to change the bedding after guests have left. We had this mattress on Finn’s bed in CT and my dad slept on it once, my dad is 6’4″ and he said how comfortable it was.
Finn’s bed we again have the T&N Original Mattress with the Mattress Protector. His bed we needed to do a box foundation with, it was too low and there was a gap between the headboard without it.
