You know when you come across something great you want to tell your sister, friends and anyone who will listen? Well these are mine. All my favorites this past week that inspire or things I love wrapped up in a quick blog post!
I read THIS article this past week “10 things to make you happier at home.” And of course it starts with making your bed. Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project, explains that this three minute task is one of the simplest habits you can adopt to positively impact your happiness. I shared the above photo of my bed on my Instagram last night and asked…
“Who makes their bed every morning?” ME! I do! And overwhelming amount of people shared that they do too! Looks like a lot of happy Instagram followers I have.
I also read that you should wash your sheets once a week. I was shocked how many people said “YES” they do. The trick everyone shared was that they do it the same day every week. Love that idea and I am going to adopt that habit.
One of my favorite comments on my Instagram last night was- “The state of your bed shows the state of your head.” Do you agree?
Moving on to next favorite-
I shared on THIS post this week how I survive on a Paleo Diet and what has helped me to lose the last of my baby weight and actually see some stomach definition. A lot of you really liked that post. I just tried THIS flavor and loved it too! It has saved my sugar cravings.
Finn is now 9 months old! I started feeding him food when the was about 5 months. I have always made my kids baby food. I just mash up what we are eating. BUT my life has changed for the better when we found THIS! Gone are the days of pulling out my big food processor. Now I can just use THIS and mash up really quick whatever we ate for dinner. Chicken noodle soup, Salmon and sweet potato, spaghetti squash pie DONE! (This would be the BEST gift!)
Speaking of food- I am going to make THESE sweet potato chips this weekend. They were one of Pinterest Top 100 pins!
I started a new journal that I just write a few quick things every night. I have loved using THIS one last year. And I just found THIS one for mothers. I just answer the simple prompts they give and I feel better about documenting a few little moments of life.
I loved this image that I came across on Instagram HERE. I am really wanting to do a built in banquette for our kitchen- love the idea of extra storage too. So stay tuned. I am sharing my plan next week!
And this image that I always have loved from the amazing Heather Bullard.
My mom is coming into town tomorrow for a week and we are all SO excited. We are going to Lion King in NYC on Sunday night. We will be holding Ella’s birthday party on Saturday too, we are planning on doing an art party. And while my mom is here I know we can count on her making THIS bread….such a treat.
Have a wonderful weekend and make your bed!
hey girl- Love the post! I do make our bed everyday but Sundays ha I guess because it’s an off day ( rest, etc) except go to church!
I think a day off is totally acceptable;)
have a good weekend!
I have seen bacquetts made with store purchased cabinet. Waiting to see your plans!
I just noticed those too on Pinterest! I am thinking about that as an option! I will share more Monday!
