Host a Book Club-Top Book Club Books 2025 and The Wedding People (this month!)

I love reading. Well, now I prefer to listen to audiobooks. A movie for your ears! I especially love being in a book club group and having friends to discuss books with. I’ve been in different book clubs with different groups of friends and in different states as a way of making friends. Sharing how we run a book club, my favorite books so far and fun ideas on hosting when it’s your turn!

This month we read The Wedding People, I had read it and knew it would be a good discussion! It did not disappoint. And half the ladies said they might be busting out their wedding dress, (picture at the end!). Book club is every month, and the person who hosts picks the book.
We have our book club at 8 PM, and the host typically does snacks or a dessert. It really is up to the host, we are always just happy to be getting together. 
I planned our dessert around the book. We obviously had a small wedding cake. Turned out to be so cute. And butter mints felt very wedding-like.
If the book doesn’t have a clear theme, I like to try to remember a food that was mentioned, or serve something that reflects the location! In the book there is mention of Oreo’s a few times, so I had to have those too. Ella made these. She dipped in chocolate and added sprinkles.
I like to have questions to discuss the book too. Sparks conversation and thinking about situations from a different perspective. Luckily for this, you can google book club questions for just about any book. Here are the questions I printed and cut. We took turns answering them.

This book was extra fun, and some friends suggested the dress code should be wedding dress, I loved this! I don’t have my dress anymore or would have worn mine too!
