IKEA Finds- What I bought and What I Love

IKEA is about 30 minutes from my house. I like to go every couple of months. This last visit I had so much fun! I took some videos while I was there and shared it on my Instagram Storie and put them all and more that I didn’t share at the end of this post. I feel like I was more open to looking at furniture and searching for storage and organizing solutions than before, or maybe they just had a lot of really great things! There are my go-to pieces that I typically get there- dish towels, down pillow inserts and  white curtain panels. I am excited to show you what I thought was an IKEA Must-Have! Let’s see what I got…

That vintage inspired rug pillow I added to our mix of pillows in our kitchen banquette was a favorite! Reminded me of Anthropolgie. I actually didn’t get it the first time I went because I couldn’t think exactly where I was going to put it. So many of my readers on Instagram went crazy for these. I decided I would like the mix of pink here with my pink dishes I also got at IKEA! BOKARV Rug Pillow Cover they come in a variety of colors too!

IKEA Organizers

SKUBB Organizer– We had two of the smaller shoe compartments in our entry closet for our girls shoes. It was so frustrating because the bigger shoes wouldn’t fit. I thought the SKUBB black hanging organizer from IKEA might be better and it really is!! We can do two shoes deep and two across and also stack shoes on top of each other. No more trying to jam boots in. For only $6.99 one of my best purchases.

SKUBB Organizers– I bought two sets of these white SKUBB organizers and I had to go back to get more! They helped to quickly organizer my secretary desk drawer and helped me to get rid of things that I didn’t use or need. They come in a variety of sized, which I didn’t think I would want but ended up loving.

IKEA DOWN PILLOW INSERTS AND DUVET INSERT

I have the FJADRAR down inserts in the girls Euro Shams and they actually fill them really well. The MYSKGRAS duvet inserts are only $7 and I use two of them in each of the EMMIE RUTA duvet (I use THESE clips to keep them in place). And again used the SKUBB organizers in their under the best storage.

Favorite IKEA Sofa

FARLOV Sofa– This sofa really reminded me of our sofa with the long bench cushion (HERE)! It was really comfortable. I have to say I never thought I would say that about an IKEA sofa! (I read reviews and heard from a few of you that the cushion was different when you got it home and not as comfy…so make sure to check that!)

IKEA Curtain Panels

The RITVA are the best white curtain panels for the style and price! They are also 118″ long. I recommend these all the time. And I always say if you don’t know what color to do on your curtain rods go with black- it is timeless and can mix well with any metal. I also found (Curtain Panels Family Room Source).

Above you can see how I tired two curtain panels in this bedroom makeover. The white I used TWO on each side of the window in the RITVA. Then on the bottom I tried the SANELA, again I did two panels on each side of the window (they come in other colors too).

The homeowner ended up loving the velvet curtain panels! 

We did this rod with these brackets (3) and these finials. See below on how we hung the rod outside the molding, so we didn’t block any of the view. About 13″ wider than the molding and about 6″ above the molding. I also don’t put the rod thru the rod pocket, I use the loops in the back so they look pinch plated (more custom). 

We did the RITVA for my moms bedroom too! I also love THESE amazon curtain rods. 

More IKEA Finds

Those were a couple more pieces that caught my eye! I loved all of the HEMNES Collection from the white Console that would be great in a kitchen or as a TV stand to the Mustard Dresser. I went to look at the HEMNES Shoe Cabinet  but decided it was slightly too deep. So I bought the STALL Shoe Cabinet and having been working on installing it in our kitchen for storage, see it HERE. And LOVE the STORSELE Chair and the PINNIG Coat Rack.

I also got the AGAM kids tall chair shown below loved it mixed with our WHITE DINING CHAIRS.
