Hello! Who has the Spring bug?? I am just DYING for the ice/snow to leave my front steps so I can freshen it up! I want to give our front entrance a little love. It is not quite time yet. So thought I would share some Spring Home Decor Trends for inside our homes. I looked to my favorite go-to websites to buy home decor from and checked out all their new things! I also researched what the experts are saying is the newest hottest trends for Spring Home Decor. Then I relaxed, hey, I am kind-of an expert! Below are my ideas along with what the other experts are saying is must do’s in your home for Spring!

#1- HYGGE-
Looks like hygge is here to stay. It is a focus on calm, cozy, gatherings and focus on the feelings we create in our homes. Although the new trend is moderation and simple that does not mean you can’t achieve this with hygge. I love that hygge focuses on wellbeing. I personally have switched to battery operated candles and diffusers. A diffuser supports the true hygge meaning for natural and calm. When you diffuse pure organic essential oils, with no fillers in your home they actually can support your feelings of joy, peace and happiness.
#2- PLANTS
Will indoor plants ever go out of style? Nope. Big things are predicted for the Pilea peperomioides- I actually don’t own this plant. But I just ordered it HERE. Kevin got me THIS set of plants for Valentines. If you are not a plant momma I challenge you to try one! Practice makes perfect. It helps to pick one day that you water- “Water Wednesday or Thirsty Thursday” and then find the best lighting for your plants. (Read my Houseplant Guide HERE).
#3- BOLD WALLS and FLORAL FABRICS AND WALLPAPERS
#4- SUSTAINABLE and HANDMADE PIECES
#5- COLORS- BLUSH, BRONZE, BLACKS
Colors I notice are in for 2019 are blush, dusty pink and bronze. Warm colors and feminine tones for on the walls and dashes of soft pinks to break up expanses of taupe or neutrals will instantly update a tired room.Something that will be out are rooms that feel overly designed with only one look. Mixing of styles is what’s coming in now.
#6- ORGANIZING and SIMPLIFYING
This is such a hot trend right now. Which is kind-of funny, because it really should have always been “in” and was for many! But thanks to Marie Kondo on Netflix she is inspiring so many! If you haven’t read her book I recommend it. And read my Marie Kondo blog posts HERE. Baskets are big for organizing and also keeping your life and schedule in order with a wall calendar! Mine washable wall calendar is from Lindsay Letters HERE or I spotted THIS one for $20!
Trends are inspiring and act as a guide when you are about to decorate or update a space, but the most important design trend is… you! Decorate your space with the things that are valuable to you, remind you of good times or are just beautiful to you. Trust yourself and enjoy the space you create!

What is this word in your #1 suggestion – “#1- Serena & Lily Hamper Kock-off HE.” What is a KOCK-off? Always PROOFREAD!!
I actually do proof read- but I am human and make mistakes. You are free to not read my blog. Because there will more than likely be a mistake my next post.
Best of luck to you.
