If you have followed me for any time at all then you would know how much I love #hygge. It is so much more important to me to focus on the feeling in your home more than anything else. And if your home is organized then you will love that hygge feeling. If you aren’t sure what hygge is (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah). It is a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cozy, charming or special. We went and saw Frozen on Broadway- SO good! All of us loved it. But there is a song they added called “Hygge” I had a big smile on my face. Google “Frozen Broadway Song- Hygge” and listen to it!
I thought I needed to do a complete blog post on all the twinkle lights that I have and love. I get asked about them all the time. So here you go….

Stargazer String Lights- Plug-in
These are super bights and so beautiful. They plug-in and have a nice copper wire. I have had them two years and always add them to my piano. But they would be gorgeous in many spots. Find them HERE. (On SALE for Cyber Monday!)
Larger Bulb Lights- Plug-in
I used THESE indoor/outdoor lights, just because I had them, and thankfully love them! I added a strand to our Christmas Tree, they make me love the glow of our tree SO much more! And used them last year around a piece of art to frame in our Christmas Cards! You can also find some that have a little softer glow, not as bright HERE.
I am having trouble finding a felt / wool cream garland like yours. Any suggestions ? Thanks
I know….me too! Mine was from Wayfair. Anthropolgie has cute ones!
I also couldn’t find a wool garland so I made one. Super easy.
Where did you get the supplies?
I LOVE your head planter 🙂 Such a pretty post!
Thank you!! You can find it here- https://rstyle.me/n/dcj5k8b5qwf
Thank-you so much! What a cute Christmas gift that would make with a plant inside.
Hello! I love your blog & home so much. I feel cozy just looking @ the pictures in your posts. Yours is the only blog I look @ daily! My home is very small too & I love how you encourage others to embrace their small homes. How can you not w/you leading by example? So many wonderful & beautiful small home decorating ideas!
I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the picture you have on your piano w/the pastels & winter scene. I have a feeling you will tell me it is a paint by number found in an antique store? But I need to ask if there’s a chance there’s another out there I could find/buy? It’s really eye-catching & perfect for this time of year & your home!
Thank you for your time! Happy Holidays!!
Hello! Thank you! It is totally called “paint by numbers” you can find it here- https://theartbar.co/products/winter-paint-by-number
Good Morning! Thank you so much!! You just made my day & then some!! I can’t wait to order. I am curious as to what you had yours printed on? Canvas & framed or did you order an art print & have them frame or you framed yourself?
Again, many thanks!
You have a lovely home.
I ordered the large globe lights you used in your Christmas tree and garland to place in my tree (real as we own a Christmas tree farm). Is your garland make a real or synthetic greens? I plugged them in and they feel a little warm. I don’t want them to dry my tree out to fast. Your home is beautiful!
Hi! Lucky to own a Christmas tree farm!! My tree is faux and garland.
You could use the Wilt Pruf on your garland! https://rstyle.me/n/dcijd5b5qwf
You could also try these lights- a softer glow- https://rstyle.me/n/dbwmhab5qwf
