There are a few things in our kitchen that we find ourselves using All. The. Time. Some are practical, most are pretty AND practical. I love to decorate our kitchen with the things that we actually USE in our kitchen. This post rounds up some of our favorite, everyday kitchen items that we have tried and tested and love! Also sharing some kitchen styling tips for everyday items!

5 Kitchen Styling Tips-
You don’t have to hide everything away to have an organized. Having a few things handy on our kitchen counters has been a huge time saver and instant decor! Just find the best looking version of what you want out. Plus no need to buy “decor” for your kitchen, use what you already have! Sometimes a little tweek here or there can make your space feel fresh and exciting (yes….decor is totally exciting to me:))

Kitchen Styling Tip #1- Find a jar to display your spatulas and larger spoons on your counter. I love using wood utensils over plastic any day! Heated up plastic can cause the BPA and phthalates in plastics to leach into your food. No good. Plus wood looks so much better on your counter! I love this set of wood utensils! And this white utensil crock to hold them.

Kitchen Styling Tip #2- Open shelves in kitchen are a fun way to display items you actually use! Open shelves don’t have to replace cabinets, but they can be a nice accent somewhere in your kitchen. Cookbooks and plants add some texture and life as well. I love this set of black dishes to eat on and to use as display. Our open shelves are just an extra slab of wood from our cabinets on these black brackets from Home Depot, I use those brackets often!

Kitchen Styling Tip #3- Keep counters simple, yet functional. I do have items on my counters, but notice how they are oversized items rather than a lot of little things. I use things like cutting boards to “ground” items and to group things. I found this square wood cutting board to put plants on and fruit on our island.

Kitchen Styling Tip #4- Let your cute utensils and cutting board shine! I added a little marble crock to our table and put our gold silverware in it. Very accessible and also pretty. TIP- when styling a kitchen table or island use pieces that look good from all sides and that you can easily see the person across the table without moving your decor. Plants are always an easy choice!

Kitchen Styling Tip #5- Even behind the scenes can and should look good, even if you are the only who see’s it! Personally it makes me feel less stress when I open cupboards and everything has a home. I use these glass jars with wood lids to store baking goods. They seal really well and aren’t plastic! Also love a clear organizer for easy to see storage in cupboards and in our fridge.
