Christmas Table Setting- Little Women Inspired

I love this time of year when we gather with family and friends! I have friends in the neighborhood that we try and get together for lunch every month. In December we do a little gift exchange also. Last year we went out to lunch, this year I told them I wanted to host. I’ll show you my Christmas table setting, what we ate and the gifts we exchanged! Little Women is my favorite Christmas movie (the 2019 version), and my inspiration always for a table setting…

For our Christmas table setting I keep a lot of the items I use to set and style the table in our cabinets. I love to buy the cutest version of things so I can use them as decor and for practical reasons too!

I was excited to use my checkered burgundy tablecloth. Pulls out the color in my new woodlands banners and looks so festive with my green dining chairs!

Don’t you think these cordless table lamps make our Christmas table look so cozy and inviting?! They come in several colors, I got them in pink too!

We do like a small pillow behind our back when we sit in the banquette, taller guests might not need it, so we just stack behind the banquette. These green striped pillows are a favorite new find! The pattern on pattern at our Christmas table is so cozy!

I found these adorable Gingerbread cards, the colors were so fun, those were my inspiration for the table! I wanted to use them as name cards for everyone’s place setting.

I placed these Scalloped Dinner Plates first, layered the Natural Check Linen Napkins. Every plate has a thoughtfully planned out spot for our guests with a Gingerbreads house name tag so they know where to sit. On the sides of the plate was this Gold flatware. Above is a glass tumbler and a cracker above each setting.

The food was so yummy! I wanted to keep it light. A yummy salad, charcuterie board that keeps us sitting and snacking at the table and, of course, a yummy and cute dessert.

I love making and eating a charcuterie! I wanted to stick to Christmas colors, which was pretty easy with green and red veggies. Everything is from Trader Joe’s!

I put all the food on this oversized Lazy Susan (more options HERE).
The whipped goat cheese and honey dip is a favorite! All you do is whip together goat cheese (I did 4.5 oz), heavy whipping cream (I like a lot! around 1/3 cup). Then drizzle honey over the top. Toasted baguette is my favorite to dip with, especially while it’s still warm. But really any bread, cracker, or fruit and veggies is good. I like adding bowls to break up the board and hold loose foods or dips.

We really love this Kale salad with Sweet Maple Dressing. Full of protein, roasted sweet potatoes, pomegranates for taste and color, almonds and feta. Yum yum! How perfect is the gingerbread house creamer for the dressing!

My friend eats gluten free and wanted her to enjoy our dessert too! I followed our Red Velvet Cupcake recipe, but used a gluten free devils food cake mix. You can also find red velvet here. Turned out perfect!

I set up a drink station too! Using this tree drink dispenser willed with water, ice bucket, and also some sparkling drinks and soda’s I know my friends love.

When we need extra seating we just set up another table. I do try and match both tables so they feel connected. I used this green and white tablecloth, and we brought in our outdoor chairs, use what you have!
