I really like to know what others find important or useful with new babies or that make great gifts. Our little baby boy is two months old now and there have been products that I didn’t know about with my girls and wish I had with them. These are some of my favorite baby products and what I tell all my friends that are new moms they should get!

Finn started sleeping eight to ten hours at night when he was six weeks old. Before that he was about four to six hours. I nurse him and often you hear that nursing babies don’t sleep as well at night. I swear THIS Sound Machine is magic! He also naps really well. We took it with us to Utah when we visited and I am so glad we did, he kept right on schedule. Our favorite sound is the ocean setting.
Living in a small house makes you evaluate every new thing you bring into your home. Especially with baby toys and gear. My friends actually gave me THIS Rock n Play. One of my friends actually used this as a bassinet. I already had a bassinet so I was unsure if I would need/want this. BUT I am so glad I kept it. I use it everyday. We put him in it when we are in the kitchen and take it outside when we eat on the deck. I like that it puts him up high so he isn’t low on the floor like a normal bouncer.
This was my first time using THIS Soothe Shirt. I love that it is just a shirt that you can easily plop a newborn baby who wants to be held. You don’t have to put in a big contraception, the shirt looks great to wear all day.
My favorite baby shoes have been THESE Freshly Picked shoes. They are so easy to put on and actually stay on babies feet! I didn’t even use socks when I thought his piggies were cold, they would get kicked off right after I put them on his feet. I would use these little shoes with the elastic band and they never came off.
Two of my best fiends gave me THESE Baby Bandanas or drool bibs….bandanas sounds so much cuter. I love that you can add a little color to a simple onesie with one of these. And if you have a boy it is kind of like putty a bow in their heads…a little bling. These are a darling gift. If you do have a girl and need a little add on to a gift, THESE Bows are my favorite.
When I did our baby boys nursery I needed a rocking chair in his room. I had a very comfy one for my girls bedroom. So I had high expectations to get another comfy one. I wanted to be able to sit cross legged in the chair and lean my head back when I rock him. THIS Rocking Chair not only looks great in his room with the wood legs it met all my needs, especially for the price point I have been really impressed.
I have had the same nursing pillow for all three of my kids. I bought several and didn’t like them and finally settled on THIS Organic Nursing Pillow. I like that it was soft and the right height for nursing. I even took it on the airplane and Finn slept on it the entire five hour flight.
I was interviewed and featured over at Project Nursery on Finns nursery reveal. You can see the entire interview HERE and how I went about designing his nursery and what obstacles I ran into. You can see his full bedroom reveal HERE if you are interested in more great sources and ideas!
Also THIS is my favorite stroller. I could not live without it! And you will need THIS adaptor for a new baby. (BTW I would never get a Sit and Stand Stroller, they are the worst). Spend the money, you will love the stroller I have.
hey girl great post! love the pics of the kiddos!
Thanks sweet Shawnna
