My friend, Rachel brought us apples and caramel dip in a cute basket the other night. It was such a sweet, thoughtful gift. She reminded me that we wanted to make the caramel dip into a printable to share! We finally did it! My mom and I did a taste test with several different caramel recipes and stuck with the one my friend Rachel makes all the time and another option with different ingredients, but tastes just as good! Sharing the recipe, the printable and gift ideas for neighbors and friends.

Our neighbors have been very patient with our remodel, so many trucks and people in our circle daily for the past 9 months! Not one complaint, only encouragement. I wanted to take them something for being so kind. I thought I would share it with you too. I remember when we moved into our Connecticut home, nobody really came over to welcome us to the neighborhood. We moved in the end of December and it was freezing, I don’t blame anyone for not venturing out!!! We decided to make cookies and go over and introduce ourself!
We talked recently on my social media how it can be hard to make new friends when we move to a new location. Taking a little gift to neighbors helps to ease the awkwardness! It makes you feel like you have a task. Don’t wait for someone to come to you, heck, they could be new too! When a new neighbor moved in behind us after we had lived in our house for several years we took them a little gift, turned out she followed me on social media! Finn and her son became good friends. I would have felt AWFUL if I had never went out of my way to meet her. You just never know who could be living just around the corner!
Thoughtful Neighbor Gifts Ideas
We put all the gifts inside these IKEA baskets! Great for a gifts then perfect to reuse for storage or decor. These are just a few ideas I put together. Everyone loves apples, and the caramel dip is an extra treat! My kids LOVE it! I recommend printing out the Caramel Dip Printable and put in the gift, then they know the ingredients and how long it will last! PS- the pink jars I put the caramel dip in I found at Target months ago in the dollar bin.

Caramel Dip Recipe

You can see how all the caramels are different shades of brown, and all so tasty. We used different ingredients for each recipe. My mom was surprised that the caramel with the coconut sugar, butter, honey and coconut milk tasted good! You can basically pick a caramel based off the ingredients you like the most and you will be happy!
