You all know we have a small Master Bedroom but that doesn’t hold me back from adding some simple winter Christmas touches and it shouldn’t hold you back either! Especially Christmas Garland and twinkle lights, my favorite thing….that goes a long way! Today is the last day of our Holiday Series- Seasons of Home hosted by Ella Claire Inspired. There are 15 other bloggers sharing their Christmas Bedroom at the end of this post. Get ready for some cozy ideas. Warning- you might want to crawl back in bed for this!
I love simple white bedding in our master bedroom, it is easy to switch up the pillows for a fun change. Come winter time, basically the end of November I add a cozy white quilt to our bed for an extra layer. I always have a white duvet layered on the end of the bed stuffed with a fluffy down fill. I added a couple more blankets and throws for an extra cozy winter look.
We collaborated with Birch Lane to share some of our favorite pieces. I found THIS black mirror from Birch Lane and added a wire to hang it vertically above our bed. Love that it looks like a window to brighten up the dark paint on the walls. (I shared a complete source list at the very end of this post!)
I found THIS plaid throw that pulled the entire room together. Along with THESE white euro shams with the mini gray tassels along the edge, both are from Birch Lane.
I added the frame with a picture of my parents black and white wedding announcement photo- I love that picture of them so much. It looks like a photo from a winter magazine.
We used fresh garland above our bed last year…..can you imagine why we switched to a faux garland?! A little less messy. I found THIS garland from Birch Lane, already pre-lite too! It is the same one I used above our kitchen banquette.
String lights hung from my floor mirror add so much to that little corner. We don’t have an overhead light, so any accent light I can add during the winter is needed!
My reading chair gets extra cozy with a few extra throws and a scarf hanging on the wall. Along with a mini potted Christmas tree.

Oh, wow! This is gorgeous! You make a small space come alive. Love the use of all your Anthropologie finds.
Thanks Clarissa!! Did you see them in my stories?! I thought you can’t see those!
I did, actually! But you’re right-I can’t view the stories on my BlackBerry but I found out I could see them from my husband’s phone. Talk about missing a lot! Haha! 🙂
haha!! YES! Stories are so fun to share more behind the scenes and answer questions too!
Love how elegant yet cozy your room feels. Can I ask what the dimensions are? I have grown daughters who now live elsewhere and I need to update to larger beds for when they “visit” (that is a strange word to type) and now feel I finally can because they don’t really need dressers. Your space makes me realize I can and it will look cozy, not cramped. Thanks for all your inspiration.
Thank you! It is about 10×11! I do have a tall dresser in our room also! I just didn’t show that angle today!
So cozy! I happened upon your blog through the “seasons of home” blog tour, your house is lovely! I love the “mothers embrace” print in your bedroom, I just used it in my ORC bathroom makeover. i love it!
Thanks! I love it too!!
Your bed looks incredibly cozy. I love all the sparkly light and green touches you have added! Simple and festive!
Thanks Rachel! xxxx
I also have a tiny Master Bedroom. Is there anyway you could show us a floor plan of your room and where the furniture is? I am struggling to make our room feel cozy and would appreciate seeing a layout with a similar sized room.
yes I will soon!
A small bedroom just means it is extra cozy! I love the lights and garland around the headboard!
Oh thank you so much Julie! Yes- super cozy!
Love love love the room! I’m dying to know what the paint color is on the wall! Do you have that handy?
It is called Gray from Benjamin Moore! Thanks! I did it in a flat sheen
