I took a couple hours to refresh our front room for fall! I really just moved things around from one room to the next. Honestly seasonl changes should just feel like changes, they don’t have to be bought at a certain isle at the store. I do like adding texture for fall and richer colors. Let’s see how I did…

The only new thing I bought were these velvet pillow covers. Everything else I just moved around. And yes, when I move things it ends up being a domino effect! Which isn’t a bad things, breaths new life everywhere!

Biggest tip is go with a color scheme. I don’t like matchy, matchy…I prefer eclectic and collected. But to keep it from looking cluttered, a nice color palette keeps that from happening and pulls it together.

You can see how I repeated the black in several spots, basket texture, plants and glowing lights from battery candles and diffuser!

The only “fall decor” are the real pumpkins I put in a few spots. No, fall decor isn’t bad. I just don’t want to have to keep it stored all year and I honestly get tired of it quickly.

Love a cozy place to sit and enjoy the season change. Noah seems to always find a spot to cuddle up too! (Find my sweater here code nesting15 for 15% off).

I’m still amazed at how you transform a room in the simplest of ways, even after all these years of following you. I look forward to these posts every year. This room is the coziest. Total perfection. I love the way the velvet pillows pull in that color from the rug. So pretty.
I love all of your tips and tricks! So reassuring to know that you don’t have to change much to get and even maintain a cozy look! I very much look forward to all of your holiday decorating posts! So lovely!
