Welcome to my fall home tour!
The other day while the girls were at school I cleaned the house and brought up some of my fall décor and picked up a few things at the store to get our home ready for fall. My daughters walked in and said “oh this looks so pretty, I love fall and all the colors.” It made my day and everything I had worked on worth it. It made them feel happy to be home, it made them excited about the future, it made them feel that the are important enough that I would spend a little extra time to create a beautiful space for them.
I filled my basket for my front door with fake sunflowers
and added in some fresh clippings from my yard.
You can find a similar basket HERE
I made a few simple changes to this space-
Changed my throw to a plaid one.
Switched some pillows around that I already had to tie
in the dark accents.
Took down the art I had around the chalkboard and hung my set of fall plates with command strips.
Added pumpkins and green apples to my wood Chapati Bowl.
Added some copper cups to my gold bookcase.
Simple touches can create the feeling of fall and they could be items you already have!
My daughter, Ella said “that pumpkin has a big booty!” I love adding in these heirloom pumpkins to my fall décor. I wish I had a garden and could grow my own or wish my parents lived closer and I could go take them from their garden!
I have had these plates for a long time, I love that they are white, to me that makes them timeless.
Found these mini potted flowers at Trader Joes. I cut a piece of burlap to layer in the bottom.
Copper cups layered in with your white everyday dishes add a touch of fall.
I found my Chapati Bowl at a second hand store.
Anything fresh or real looks great layered in for fall. I created some height with hydrangea, when these sadly die I will replace them with a branch of fall leaves.
I made the wreath over my chalk board. I just used branches from shrubs in my back yard. I clumped a bunch together and tied with twine then stared to turn it into a circle, tieing knots every so often. It worked best with “young” branches that were softer and my pliable. I think using branches with fall leaves to make a really thin one would look gorgeous too.
You won’t find an empty glass jar in this house, they are all filled with fresh clippings. I love these jars from Ikea, I lost track of how many I have.
These turkish dish towels are my favorite and Home Goods always seems to have a new set I can’t pass up. And the price makes them a no brainer.
I had to have this potted sunflower from Trader Joes too. I layered burlap in the bottom to make it feel fuller. I have a thing with collecting cutting boards lately, I found this one at Home Goods.
Hats and Hunter boots, keep out what you use everyday it doubles as décor.
Fresh eucalyptus smells amazing, and it lasts a long time, look for some next time you are at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, you won’t be sorry you picked some up!

I bought several plaid throws at Home Goods the other day and rang everything up and told the cashier that I was not going to get the red and pink throw. Then it stared at me behind the counter in the reject pile… looking so cute I ended up saying, ok I have to have it. I was worried it would look too red in the room, but I love how it ties in my rug and does add that warmth to the room that fall is.
Sunflowers scream fall to me and remind me of my parents who have a beehive at their home. My Dad doesn’t like when my mom cuts them, the bees need the pollen my dad tells her. She cuts some anyways, that’s where I get it from. The picture I have framed is their wedding announcement.
I talked about how I painted my sideboard white on my Instagram the other day. I used Annie Sloan pure white chalk paint. I love how it turned out, makes my fall stand out.
