Junk Journaling- Favorite Hobby - Nesting With Grace

My girls, Ella (17) and Lola (14) have been really into Junk Journaling lately! Their new favorite hobby. Junk Journaling is essentially scrapbooking with the addition of “junk” think candy wrappers, ticket stubs, and really anything you can stick to a page. I love that the pages don’t have to be filled with travel and adventure, it can be just inspiration and things you are into.

Sharing photos of their Junk Journals, how they keep all the supplies organized and favorite supplies! (They love to Junk Journal in our Home Office).

The girls like to use a spiral bound notebook as their base. Then they use double sided tape to attach everything. I linked everything they use below…

Here is a page from their junk journal, a just “for fun page”. Ella printed a photo of their nails, and printed out images from Pinterest on our printer. Having a printer does help, but you could really use magazine clippings, old books, brochures, etc.

They find background pages on Pinterest too, but you could just grab a bunch of scrapbook colorful pattern pages at a local store.

It was extra fun on our recent trip to London watching them save things they might have thrown away in the past. Their wristband to Westminster Abbey, tickets, sugar packets, candy wrappers, and more.

Makes me think of all the fun places I have been and could have saved something from! Even the little umbrella they saved from a drink in Hawaii.

They keep all their junk journal supplies in a basket in our cabinet. It isn’t really organized, but at least everything it in one place, making it easy to tidy up after and easy to grab and get creating!

One of Lola’s friend did a junk journaling birthday party and gave everyone a notebook (Lola brought her’s knowing they would be creating) and they had supplies to make a couple pages. Such a fun idea!
