One of my most popular blog posts was "10 Things you could do without in your home". I talked about how we do without a microwave, plastic wrap, tin foil, tampons, plastic bags, paper towels and more! Billie Razor reached out to me to test out their new razor (which I had already bought a couple months prior- thanks FB ads!). It made me think how disposable razors are something we should do without in our homes. Instead invest in a nicer razor that you only have to replace the blade every month. Plus Bille Razors are actually cute hanging on your shower wall! So let's dig in and share 10 ... Read More

Family Room in a Small Cape gets a Major Makeover
I remember the first time I saw this home I had tears well up in my eyes, because I knew I would makeover this entire home. It wasn't an accident we met them, it was a gift to us. We first went to this charming little cape, because Rachel (the mom) had written to us when we asked for local kids rooms to makeover. We selected her son Luke, to do a makeover for. Rachel wasn't home when Kevin and I went to see Lukes bedroom, and looking back, it was a blessing she wasn't. Rachels friend let us in to measure Lukes room, then she asked if we wanted to see all their home. It just needed some love. ... Read More
8 Simple Tips to TRANSFORM a Bedroom! Patricks and Lukes Parents Reveal
Alright are you ready to see the other bedroom makeover we did this week?? I have to say this it is a HUGE transformation. This is Rachel and Jeff's master bedroom that Kevin and I gifted to them. They are a very loving, kind deserving family. Their youngest son, Patrick has special needs and is the cutest boy. We really felt they all deserved a cozy spot to lay their heads at night after working so hard. This ... Read More
When to Fertilize Plants and Repotting Houseplants
I LOVE houseplants. I look around my house and majority of my home decor is a houseplant. Houseplants never go out of style. Being in the design industry since I was 15 years old I think I am a little jaded, honestly I just got tired of things quicker. But not my houseplants. It brings me so much joy to see new growth because of the care I put into a houseplant. It is like a child learning something new, but like 99% easier than teaching a child something new. Ha! One of the most asked questions I have been getting lately is "Do you fertilize your houseplants?" So I thought I would write a ... Read More

Our front room was sure fun to decorate this year with my new toy….our electric fireplace. Yes, it is totally a toy to me. I have loved decorating it. Window Boxes and Curb Appeal
Curb Appeal was something our home was lacking when we bought it three years ago. Slowly we have made some minor changes and recently some major changes with new siding. But honestly every time we made a change, no matter if it was pulling out some weeds or adding rocks to our walk-up. It's was an effort that doesn't go un-noticed. Little changes to the exterior go a long way. We were out working on our front yard and I was adding some flowers to our window boxes and a woman walked by and called out "looks great!" It was so nice of her! It really wasn't complete, but her just encouraging the ... Read More
