Portrait Wall- Gallery Wall of Lady Portraits over Piano and Gallery Walls

I had several messages asking about our portrait wall of ladies over our piano. I put that gallery wall together about a year ago, and still adore it. This gallery wall of lady portraits does need its own blog post, thanks for asking! I thrifted some of the portraits, some I found from local artists, some online and some are brand new prints. Sharing all the details below! Also sharing how I put together the gallery wall and the gallery wall up our stairs.

This is what the portrait wall looked like when I first installed the art on the wall. I have slowly added in a few pieces when I find a new portrait I love. It is so fun to have something you collect!
I placed the portraits on the floor in an arrangement that I liked, helped to visualize the spacing. Then I took one portrait at a time and hung it on the wall. I wanted the portraits to go down the sides of the piano to fill in that space. I did start with the largest portraits as the base.

Recently moved our piano and did a floor to ceiling gallery wall. I have been collecting portraits for a while, and linked several below!

This is another way to do a gallery wall. Cut out the sizes of your art with Kraft paper, place on the wall, then replace each paper with a piece of art as you hang. You can see more of the stair gallery wall below.

Gallery Wall up the stairs

I love a gallery wall up the stairs, probably my favorite spot for a gallery wall. I also love a gallery wall down a hall. I am going to do a gallery wall down my hall mixed with family photos I will share soon!
Here are the sizes, it was easy to move around pieces of paper to figure out placement.

I continued the gallery wall up the stairs and want to add more to the girls hall, photos from our past trips! The Flocks by Night art is a big favorite of mine and I love it out all year long.
Another example of a gallery wall down our stairs.
Over our cabinet, I did a gallery wall around our 43″ frame TV. I used this Deco Frame around it to make it look larger and like art. I found the TV art from HERE. You can make it so the art doesn’t have a matte around it, which I like a lot better. Find out how we did no-mat HERE.
In our Connecticut home I did a gallery wall of old frames all painted the same color filled with family candid photos.
