I warned you I was going to wallpaper this accent wall again! Remember how I had no wallpaper here- then wallpaper- then no wallpaper again and now wallpaper (did I loose you?) I took down the previous wallpaper because it was temporary and I was ready for a change. I thought I would like it with no wallpaper here, just keeping it simple because that look is really “in”. Well turns out I don’t care if simple is in, I love character more than I like simple and safe. So there you have it. For those of you who might not fully know or have yet to embrace your personal style. I have THREE different ways I styled this area in our home. Hopefully it will help you determine what style you gravitate towards! BTW I am the worst at naming “design styles”. I personally don’t like to be labeled a certain style, maybe because I like so many styles and don’t want to be boxed in. But knowing what you love helps to keep you on track for your design goals!
Each styled look will have that temporary wallpaper, it actually worked as the PERFECT backdrop to all of these design styles. Not to mention it is such a great way to change the look of a room. Just to give you an idea- this wallpaper is from Tempaper Designs I used less than one roll of wallpaper, it costs about $125. It took me about an hour to put up and can be taken down just by peeling it off, like a sticker (no damage to the wall).
#1- Style Idea- Casual Modern Boho
For this style I used THIS mirror that I wrote a blog post on (it looks good EVERYWHERE and under $50!). House plants, a simple pharmacy lamp, vintage painting and the modern bench really complete the look. I like how the gold tones in the bench, the gold mirror and the gold rug really balance out the gray in the wallpaper.

#2- Style Idea- Vintage Glam
For this style the modern crystal lamp was the focal point. I like the crystal base, it keeps everything light and feminine, yet modern. I paired it with marble, simple art, flowers and THIS fur stool.
#3- Style Idea- Modern Preppy
The black lamp shade is the main event here. Remember when I talked about “Country Livings Fall Trend Predictions”? Black accessories were part of that trend. I have to say I do like this look if you like some drama and contrast. If not all the time, but at least for fall/winter.
What do you think? Did that give you an idea of what style you love? It totally did for me. I kept the style below for my everyday look. It was actually the first look I did and that typically determines what you like most. The look you are most excited to try out. Let me know what style you like the most!
Check out THIS post all about our painted pink piano!
You can find the lamps that I used from Lamps Plus HERE
PS- Thanks to my friends in the Nesting with Grace Facebook Group for your name suggestions for each design style! xxxx
The first one is my favorite too 🙂
Yes! I thought a lot of my readers would like that best:)
All three are such great looks. I could live with any of them and love them.
Thank you Marty, that is such a sweet thing to say! xxxx
I definitely like the first one with the mirror. I would call that style, “just perfect for Grace and family” enjoy your blog
oh thank you!!
You are soooo talented !!! I really like them all but the first one is my favorite! ?
you are too kind, thank you Cassie!
Definitely vintage glam for me.
Love the first look but would typically be drawn to the sound of preppy. All three pretty though.
thanks! Maybe my “preppy” wasn’t executed that well:)
Love the first one despite the fact I thought I’d be drawn to the preppiness of the third. Do love all three though.
I love all three! What does that say about my taste??? I like the first one, but the second one is so soft and romantic. (Although, I’d nix the fur stools–just not my thing.) Then, the preppy one speaks to me, too. Like you, I’m not sure I could live with it all the time, but it would be a great winter look. Thanks for sharing!
Loved the first and second styles the best but in the end think I would land on Casual Modern Boho. That mirror does really look good everywhere!
That piano bench in the first grouping is my favorite! Where would you find that? It’s simple and timeless.
I found it at Home Goods! Thank you!
The second! Oh wow! It is so easy on the eyes ?
really! Thank you!
Casual Modern Boho is my favorite too! I might have to switch out my white lampshades to black this winter… As always, thanks for the great ideas!
Thanks! Yes, love the black accents!
That’s the best part about temporary wallpaper- it’ so easy to add as an accent wall, then change it! I usually have a set of 6 for an accent wall in my family room. I change it with the seasons to keep the room looking fresh. Make sure you keep the paper backing when you initially install the tile. When you remove the paper, slowly peel from the top corner of your first tile, pulling downwards towards the floor instead of out. This will prevent the wallpaper from getting stretched and misshapen. Hope that helps!
