So excited that the little changes to our kitchen are coming together! I had asked for some help on picking a fabric for our new roman shades on my Instagram and it was an overwhelming vote for all the same fabric. I sent my husband on a “fun” errand to get 6 different gray paint samples to try on our interior kitchen door. We were ready for a change. We ended up painting it in my husbands first choice and it was actually my last choice. Come see how it looks and what the winning gray was.

I thought about maybe doing shiplap on the walls above our soon to be banquette in our kitchen.
Then I started to think is shiplap a fad? It is everywhere you turn and especially if you watch the show Fixer-uper on HGTV.
