I am doing three bedroom makeovers this month! And one next month. I am very excited. Making a fluffy cozy bed is one of my favorite things to do. I thought I would share the before of each room and my design plan. I ALWAYS do a design plan before I start any project. It helps me to visualize the end result. And not waste anytime on returning things because they didn’t look good together.
If you remember Lukes Bedroom that we recently made over. And then we did Lukes mom, Rachels kitchen shelves. Well, we couldn’t stop just there. We are now giving Patrick the younger brother a bedroom makeover AND their parents. The first time I went over to see Lukes room, Rachel was out of town, and their friend gave me a tour of their home. Instantly I knew I wanted to makeover everyones bedroom. I actually felt overwhelmed and thankful that we met them.
Recently I was listening to a lesson from some teachers in our church. She said “Your abundance may be a supply for their want and their abundance may be a supply for want.” I stopped and wrote it down. It is so true for me in my life. I love to give these makeovers to someone who I feel could use it. Or simply because I think we could make it better than before. But ultimately it does do something for me. It gives me something to share with all of you and it also feeds my creative soul.
Let’s take a look at the bedrooms before and my design plans! Then stay tuned on my Instagram stories for updates along the way.
Small Boys Bedroom BEFORE-
We want to paint all the walls white and add wallpaper to the ceiling. Move the bed into the little dormer space and move the toys and a desk over to where the bed is. This space is more like an open loft. No doors anywhere. So having the bed moved over to the more private space rather than right when you walk up the stairs will be great!

Little Girls Bedroom BEFORE-
This nursery is for a another local reader. Her mom submitted this nursery for her 3 year old daughter who is ready to transition to a big girl bed. So Kevin and I decided to do two local makeovers! I am excited to see the bed below in person!!! We are also going to wallpaper ALL the walls in the animal print. It is going to be very eclectic and fun.

Master Bedroom BEFORE-
This master belongs to Luke and Patricks parents. Rachel and Jeff. We are going to wallpaper the back wall, add a rug and new bedding! We are also going to give them the girls large cream dresser, I just hope it can fit up the stairs!

Your bedroom posts (and makeovers!) are my favorite. I’m really looking forward to the master bedroom reveal, as the color scheme and rug look really similar to my room!
Can’t wait to see the makeovers for these rooms. Thanks to you and your husband to take the time to pay it forward to someone who will benefit mentally, physically and emotionally. I know everyone will be so appreciative of your time and effort. The world needs more angles working to help others enjoy a little happiness along the way. Thanks to you both.
I really like that the master bedroom includes colored curtains and bedspreads! Sometimes all I see is white, but I LOVE the color you put in rooms!
Love that you are doing this for Luke’s family. What a wonderful gift!
Thank you!!!
Looks amazing! Maybe I’m missing it, but can I ask what color of white you use on the walls?
we used Behr Pure White.
How do you do the design/vision board of all of the items? Is there a special software or something? I need to do this before I tackle some projects and I love how you did it. It gives a really good visual of how everything goes well together.
I just use pic monkey! I wrote about it here- https://nestingwithgrace.com/create-design-board-start-designing-room/
Brooke, thank you and Kevin for understanding and putting your quote on abundance into action by “paying it forward.”
I will say it again, you are miracle workers, one room st a time. Bless you❤️💫
