I get a lot of questions when I share a behind-the-scenes look at our kitchen. No paper towels, and the most shocking, yep—no microwave either! We honestly do just fine without those things, and today I’m sharing 6 things you can probably live without too. It’s my version of going green and saving money without going full zero-waste perfectionist. Do I still drive a car, forget my reusable bags, and get my nails done? Yep. But I’m making small swaps where I can, and that totally counts!

1-Microwave

2-Paper Towels

3-Tin Foil or Plastic Wrap

If a recipe says “cover with foil” I simply pop another pan on top—it works just as well!

4-Store Bought Room Spray

Anthro Room Spray
In a 4 oz Spray Bottle add
20 drops Christmas Spirit
20 drops Bergamot
10 drops Clove
10 drops Grapefruit
Add a splash of Witch Hazel or pinch of salt
Top with water
Shake before each use & spray in the air to freshen up any space. Can be used as a perfume and linen spray too!!
5-Tampons

Why I Love My Menstrual Cup-
Eco-Friendly: One cup can last for years = way less waste.
Non-Toxic: No bleach, BPA, or weird additives like most pads and tampons.
Longer Wear Time: Up to 12 hours—no leaks, no stress.
Lower Risk of TSS: Unlike tampons, no cotton fibers or tiny cuts = safer.
May Reduce Flow: Some say cups can naturally help lighten your period.
Always On Hand: No more panic store runs
I tried a few brands and ended up loving the Saalt Cup—easy to use, two sizes, and simple to remove. Pro tip: Make sure to twist the cup after insertion so it fully opens. Total game-changer. Not sure where to start? There’s a handy quiz to help you pick the right one.
