A Cozy Fall Bedroom Refresh + My New Vanity Desk

There’s something about fall that makes me want to cozy up every room in the house and our bedroom was first on my list. I didn’t change a ton, but some new bedding, warmer layers, and a little vanity desk completely changed the feel of the room. It’s softer, cozier, and feels so good heading into fall.

New Bedding for Fall

The easiest way to make a bedroom feel completely different without actually changing the room? New bedding!

One of my favorite tricks for making a bedroom feel cozy is simply adding layers. Start with your everyday sheets and duvet, then bring in another quilt or blanket folded at the bottom of the bed. Add a few pillows in different sizes, colors, or patterns and suddenly the whole bed feels more finished.

The New Vanity Desk

The other addition I’m loving is my new vanity desk. wanted a little spot in our bedroom that was pretty but also actually useful.

This gives me a place to get ready, sit down for a minute, or keep some of my everyday things without taking up a ton of space.

I added a comfortable chair, and a lamp to make it feel like its own little moment in the room. I love when something functional can also make a space prettier and this little area does exactly that.

A Few Cozy Details for Fall

I really think lighting makes the biggest difference this time of year. Lamps instead of overhead lights instantly make a bedroom feel warmer, especially as the evenings start getting darker.

It really didn’t take much to make our bedroom feel completely different for fall, and that might be my favorite kind of refresh. A few new pieces, some extra layers, and warmer lighting made it feel cozy again without starting over.
