My Sister’s Bedding Refresh with the Coziest Bedding!

Our beds are the focal point of the room, which is a main reason I love switching out our bedding and giving it a fresh new look. My sister just purchased the same bed I have, I wanted to help her brighten up her bedding, and give her room a refresh after a recent flood she just had. Can’t wait to show you all the darling and comfortable items we found!

Here is their room now! The wall color is Pigeon from Farrow & Ball. Sadly there was damage done with flooding from her bathroom. They just redid the floors, and thought it was the perfect time to get a new bed!
These organic cotton printed sheets were a starting off point. I knew I wanted to add a fun pattern to the bedding, her bed is a king.
Then, I layered this fun and fluffy striped duvet! This is our favorite duvet insert. We did “extra” fill, it is the perfect insert! Nice and full and not hot or heavy at all. The duvet stays in place when you tie all the corners in place.
Over the duvet, at the foot of the bed, is a printed soft quilt. It’s a lightweight layer perfect for summer months.I love the colors in this quilt, it really brings all the bedding and everything in the room together!
For the pillows, in the back are these pretty blue king size shams, we used these pillow inserts (they are very full, great for decorative pillow) to fill them. Then layered 3 beautiful blush ruffled euro shams, with my go-to euro sham inserts, 26″. The sheet set came with these printed king size shams. I loved those so much I wanted to make sure we could see the colors and detail by putting them front and center!
We thrifted that beautiful art above the bed! Always on the lookout for art. Above the art is this picture light, you can hardwire or use it with batteries!
Adding a picture light elevates the look and makes it look larger.
We swapped out thier curtains for these Linen Blend Woven Curtains. I love how they match the wall color, they are lined to block sun and the fringe detail is darling!
We are always on the lookout for vintage furniture also. I’m always checking the local Facebook marketplace also, I use the word “vintage” in my search. I found both of her nightstands on Facebook marketplace, they had already been refurbished with a beautiful paint color and hardware, I paid $400, a little more than I normally pay for FB, but needed them and they were ready to go! These nightstands are similar and great price.
To connect both sides I did the same oversized ceramic lamps with the darling fluted shade.
On the dresser I layered items, first with this large ceramic tray. Inside the tray scalloped woven hurricane we are using as a vase with fresh hydrangeas. I love fresh cut flowers or a live plant for decor. I found these frames from thrift stores, I prefer the older classic look for a frame! She had photos in black and white we used.
Mandi already has our favorite aria diffuser here! We love to diffuse in the bedroom. Helps to calm and support sleep.
