You know the classic Christmas book that reads “the children were nestled all snug in their beds?” well, every year we like to swap out Finn’s bedding for December, in hopes he wants to sleep in his cozy Christmas bed. Sharing the changes we made to Finn’s bedroom for the holiday season. Also sharing some fun winter, holiday looks we added to two other current beds. For extra “nesting” to a few other rooms!
Thank you The Company Store for sponsoring this post
Finn’s Holiday Bedroom-
Finn has a darling Christmas tree in his room that my mom comes and helps him decorate. He loves spending any time with my mom, but really loves this tradition. He has a lot of fun and classic Christmas colors in his tree. Makes it easy to add a little more holiday color to his bedding. I always thought I couldn’t add plaid bedding since his Upholstered Bed is plaid, but I decided to try mixing all patterns of plaid and LOVE the result!
Lucky for me, for now, Finn likes to have a made bed in the morning and loves to help make it. Here’s how we made his bed…
Bedding Must-Have’s-
Cooling Mattress Pad // Waterproof Mattress Pad // Euro Insert (firm) // Sham Insert (firm) // Organic Duvet Insert // Linen Duvet // Air Quilt
We found this cute plaid duvet cover, plaid feels super Holiday’ish right? Like a cozy cabin in the woods. But I also think this duvet would look great all year! And, turns out pattern on pattern adds an extra layer of coziness. This duvet insert is a favorite and adds the extra fluffy, cozy look!
The Company Store has a lot of great duvet inserts, I reviewed three duvet inserts HERE.
Having a set of cold weather sheets is a great way to help our normal sheets last longer! Plus gives you or your kids something to be excited about. Like putting out Christmas decor means its time for those soft cozy sheets too. A fun tradition. We did this red plaid sheet set, they look like flannel but they are cooling cotton, and they are the softest!! Perfect for year round, and for hot sleepers.
Then we added the same quilt we have on our king bed, the air quilt (in gray). It is soft like butter! Plus it is lightweight, not too heavy. Adds the right amount of warmth for the cooler months.
The sheet set comes with 2 pillow cases, we covered Finns sleeping pillows. Then did the plaid green euros that match his duvet, with the euro inserts we use on all our beds! Also this plaid pillow with a cozy sherpa front that Finn LOVES!
Finn reminds me of Kevin McCalister, from Home Alone in this photo. Just making his bed while his family left him behind at Christmas! Finn (and his puppies!) are wearing these cute Holiday Pajamas, soft and oversized.
The Horse Art over his bed with fresh garland, was the best finishing touch!

Lola’s Bed with Patchwork Quilt-
I added this darling patchwork quilt to the end of Lola’s bed. A quilt makes a bed feel extra warm and inviting. We love the colors in this quilt so much. Lola was excited for the addition with the colder months here! The quilt reminds us of the vintage quilts we have been admiring, and all the vintage quilt jackets. Love that quilts are really popular right now, an heirloom piece.
Lola already had this linen gray duvet. I LOVE linen on beds, it just looks lived in and comfy! Sweet little eyelet detail with flange. She has this Duvet Insert, which has held up beautifully and makes the bed look extra fluffy! (I just added this 24″ Round Velvet Pillow we had with these Pink Velvet Euro Shams with the Euro Inserts we use on all our beds!)
Desk Chair // Floor Mirror // Light Fixture // Light Blue Paint // Art- Sisters, Sisters(Nesting15 for 15% off!) Plant Pulley // Plant Hanger // Art- Swimmer Girl // Hand Ring Holder // Record Player // Kindness Matters Tapestry // Sconces // Pleated Shade Lamp // Nightstand // Queen Bed // Pink Storage Ottomans // Rug // Gray Linen Duvet // Patchwork Quilt // 24″ Round Velvet Pillow // Pink Velvet Euro Shams
Triplet Bedroom Quilts and Bottle Brush Trees-
We have these quilts in the triplet room. Adding quilts bring so much personality and color. Can totally transform a room…cozy vibes for sure! This cute tree pillow was a fun addition to the bed. Easiest way to bring some Christmas to a room! I thought these pillows covers were super cute too!
Plus adding my collection of bottle brush trees to the window made it feel extra festive in here without having to change a lot! (Get all the details of the triplet room HERE).
