It has been awhile since I did an Amazon Home Favorites Round-up! I was searching for outdoor furniture (found some cute lounge chairs) and I noticed a few of my favorites for home decor from Amazon were back in-stock! Also, I helped out at a local Parade of Homes that was all built by women. Such a neat thing to be part of! I shared some of it on my Instagram stories and received a lot of questions about sources, so I wanted to share that here too!
Parade of Homes Girls Bedroom-

First of all I had lots of questions on what a Parade of Homes is. A Parade of Homes is a branded showcase of new and remodeled homes. Typically there is a week or two that you can tour about 25 homes, after purchasing a ticket. I have helped design about 5 Parade of Homes over my career. Some homes have a home owner and some don’t and are for sale at the time of the Parade. If someone does own the new construction home, that home owner typically get discounts from different vendors for being featured in the Parade, as a type of advertisement.

This Parade Home (I donated the wallpaper and installed it) was built by The House That SHE Built. The goal for this home is to highlight and utilize women professionals, skilled tradeswomen, and women-owned companies for all stages of the project. The proceeds from the sale of the home will be divided between scholarships, women-run charities, and future home projects like The House That SHE Built. The scholarships will account for 60% of the total profit and will be awarded to women pursuing construction management related degrees or trade school programs.

This room was designed by Denise and Randi at The Black Goose Design in Utah. They offer design services and can help you if you are local! This is the shop I used to work at, for 17 years!
- Iron Bed
- Peel and Stick Wallpaper Ditsy Floral
- Rug
- Bedding (it is from a shop called Layers, they do ship!)
- Ceiling Fan
- Window Treatments (on sale!)

I also loved this room that Denise and Randi at The Black Goose Design did. This rug is so good!!
Amazon Home Favorites

- Natural and Grey 3-Piece Lounge Set– this is a really cute lounge set, for a great price! I think I am going to order two sets for our backyard and to go near the pool. PS- I ordered three of these Giant Swan Inflatable Ride-On Pool Float!
- Indoor/Outdoor Taper Planter– these come in a set of two and have five star reviews. They remind me of the planters we had in our CT home on either side of our gym doors.
- Metal Dining Chairs Set of 4– only $125 for a set of really cute metal dining chairs! Love them for outside or inside. PS- they come in other colors
- Seagrass Belly Basket– I have one of these in every room in our apartment. One in each bathroom for extra toilet paper and one in each bedroom with a plant! Tip- when you put a plant inside a basket, put one of these trays in the bottom to protect from extra water.
- String Lights Outdoor in White and in Black we used this wire system to hang our lights though the yard. (See the lights up here).
- Set of 6- Turkish Cotton Bath Beach Towel XL– great price for a set of fun pool, beach or shower towels!
- Battery operated candles– can’t help but share these! I have LOTS of them. I love a little glow in all corners of a room, these are great for bookcases and anywhere you would normally like a candle flicker, but no fear of a flame.
- Drapery Window Curtain Rod– I literally use this curtain rod for every room in our home and also for makeovers. Simple and a pop of black is essential in every room for some depth.
- Felt and Latex Non Slip Rug Pad– I have gotten asked recently what rug pad I like and this is one I have used several times! A rug pad is a must!
- Tufted Fabric Upholstered– this bed is back in!! I have used it in three different bedroom makeovers. We used it in this guest room makeover for my parents and this bedroom for Robin and this primary bedroom! For well under $200 you really can’t go wrong!

They have faux too. Shop it here.
Hope you have a lovely weekend! Check out this post on backyard tips….

Amazing how much larger your window looks with the curtain rod almost to the ceiling. I’ve always known that trick, but definitely can see it between the two. Both rooms are lovely!
