My new Mudcloth Pillows are just making me so happy. There is so much devastation right now with Texas it has been hard to not feel guilty and silly for being happy about pillows. Even just doing normal everyday things- like taking my kids to school, that is not happening in Texas. I almost didn’t share my new pillows, but I thought they are a good distraction right now with the disturbing news. And over on my Instagram you could win two pillows- so maybe that would brighten someones day. If you haven’t noticed the pillow trend of Mudcloth yet- well it’s strong! Here are some of my favorite ways to add Mudcloth Pillows to your home…

Yesterday I shared my new swivel chairs and where I moved my new Secretary Desk to. Some of you (ok two of you:)) asked what I put in the spot where I had the Secretary Desk. Well I did THIS piece!
It is my FAVORITE Storage Solution!
I love the storage it offers for papers and coloring books. Ours also holds the piano music! For some reason online I thought the drawers looked tin or metal and more gold in the online picture- they are actually wood, different than I thought online, but overall I really like it. (Find it HERE).
Couple more of my favorite things that I just ordered (remember how I said I might do a yard sale? Well I did it and sold more than I was going to…the reason behind the purchases:))
- Notice the green ottoman in my last pic? LOVING them! Share more soon. Until then find them HERE (limited stock!)
- Outdoor Loveseat on major sale. Did this for a friends deck and had to have it too! EXTRA 15% off with code- LABORDAY
- THIS is going to be our way of roasting Smore’s! Extra 15% off this weekend with code- LABORDAY
- I really want THESE mint curtains for my daughters bedroom. They have EXTRA 30% off clearance for Labor Day!
- I can’t handle how much I love THESE for fall. Getting family pictures taken soon- good excuse to pull the trigger! Right?
I wanted to share a little bit more about Texas-
I know all of us are so overwhelmed and can’t comprehend the devastation to Texas. I was getting my hair done the other day and a group of women were chatting saying that they haven’t donated or helped because they just don’t know what to do and don’t have a lot of money to give. I pipped up and told them about the organization I found that spoke to me and that I donated to….
It is called Foster Village this is what they are doing-
Yesterday, I was thinking of you. I remember a few months back encouraging you that you bring beauty in the world when someone criticized you. My heart has been heavy for Texas. My heart was already heavy due to my husband having Leukemia. We are in good spirits, we both have the faith to meet this and we grow stronger as we walk this path. We’ve had to uproot our lives to get him treatment, and so a friend started a fundraiser for us. I say all this because on the odd days we are home, I want to nest. I want to pull out the Autumn comforts. I’ve had a little bit of an inner struggle as we walk through this life and death journey and I want to put a pumpkin on a shelf….And then Texas! And I want to donate and did donate and it feels funny to give when what I give, is possible because someone else gave to us. But, I needed to hear you say exactly what you said about the pillows. We need distractions. And when I shared some of these thoughts with my husband, he told me he loves our home too, he loves that I make it a nest for us. And if my warrior finds comfort in a cozy nest, then I’m going to keep nesting. Thank you for helping me today.(And say a prayer, but don’t feel bad about the cancer. I’m sure lots of your readers are struggling with their own things. Life is full of challenges. We rise up to meet them, and share some beauty along the way.)
Your words just are perfect. My heart aches for you- and I understand your inner struggle- but can only imagine.
You are a hero- doing life and giving. Thanks for your comment. Prayers for you, thanks for being here. xoxo
I have to agree with you, I also thought your new storage piece looked like metal w/gold on the website. But this is so cute and functional. And your teasers with the new ottoman and seeing some of the items you sold at your yard sale(in your email) makes me can’t wait to see the changes!!!!!
I know, right?! It really is a great piece- at first I was unsure but after I styled it I fell in love with it!
Oh my gosh I LOVE my ottomans- I did those for a cocktail table and have two. I will show soon!
I love your posts and blog so much. You are the cutest. ❤️ I have been looking at patio furniture and I love this sofa! What are you going to pair it with?! Maybe I’ll just copy you. ??♀️
you are so sweet! I actually bought this sofa to go with it- http://rstyle.me/n/crxkutb5qwf
I did it for a friend too and I did an egg chair for her! See it on this post- http://nestingwithgrace.com/outdoor-patio-and-living-space-with-hanging-chair/
Do you have the address for Foster Village? I’ve donated through Amazon before, and they provided the ship to address at check out. There was a note at the top saying that had not been provided. Thank you!
It didn’t share the full address after I bought it said “hidden for privacy”…
Awesome addition! I love all the neutrals mixed into one piece! Good job on the yard sale, I find them so freeing, to just let go and move onto new and better things that fit your current needs. I am redoing my daughter’s playroom and I think this piece would be great in there also. I can see barbies, art supplies, little figurines–all fitting in there. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you Sharon! It felt SO good to ditch somethings and also get new! You would love that piece for storage!
What a great storage piece. What sorts of things are you putting in it? Would gloves or shoes work? I have 8 kids and I’m trying to think how I could use that in our entry way.
I have basically paper, coloring books, crafts.
But gloves and scarves would be a great idea for an entry!
Maybe I missed this but why are they called Mudcloth? Just curious!!
