The title of this blog post is a mouth full! I have too many favorites to share with you this week. I was invited to preview all the Summer changes at Serena & Lily in Westport CT. I am pretty lucky it is only 20 minutes from my house, I can pop in for some inspiration. We went to lunch at the yummiest spot after (The Cottage if you are local). I typically wouldn’t share pictures of a store on my blog, but it doesn’t feel like a store. It feels like I toured the most charming home everrrrrr. And it is pretty fun to see the newest and greatest things in season right now in home decor. So come take a tour with me and I also asked two of my favorite bloggers to share what their new favorite home decor pieces are that they added to their homes this week! Lots of pictures on this Friday Favorites.
This is the front of the Serena & Lily store. I love the color of the dutch door and those topiaries. I asked on my Instagram and others confirmed that those are Ficus topiaries.
The pillows on the banquette are indoor/outdoor the same as the white ones I own, I love them in navy too. Also this CHANDELIER!!
Love the wallpaper behind the bookcase. Notice the plant on the coffee table that is totally painted white- I saw that in a couple of spots in the store and have since noticed it in other stores and homes. What do you think of this trend? Look for it in a few of the other pics below.
I had to take a picture of these stairs- love how they wallpapered the front. The collection of art up the stairs is one of my favorite things, the art in their store is really unique- you can shop it HERE.
Sweet little window seat with the white hanging chair. It is the smaller version of my double hanging chair.
Now the bedding is obviously set up for a store, but I love the colored rugs at the end of the beds and the leather poufs are darling. I would not have thought to do a rug like that- I could totally do this in my daughters bedroom!
Sweetest little nook with wallpaper is just so charming.
I had to share THIS rug– I have used it before for clients. It is not a boring jute rug (I do like a boring jute rug) BUT…this one with the silver border, is really fun.
I like the roman shades on the windows and all the pillows on this sectional. There is that white plant again….
I LOVE all of their outdoor decor. It is hard to find good outdoor pillows that don’t look cheap! Now do you feel like you went to Serena & Lily with me? It is kind of like we went shopping:) You can shop everything from their store at their online shop HERE.
Next up for my Friday Favorites-
Bloggers Favorite New Home Decor Piece- Annie from Most Lovely Things
Annie actually works at Serena & Lily and runs a gorgeous blog. She just returned from a trip to Copenhagen, yes I am pretty jealous! This is what Annie said about her new favorite home decor piece-
“I just picked up pottery in Copenhagen from Studio Arhoj. We saw it a few design shops like Hay Design in Copenhagen and then took a little trip to their Design Studio and bought a few cups and bowls in black & white (of course)! I also purchased a Kutter candle holder at Hay design It lets you use an ordinary candle and a tea light for just the right amount of Hygge on a rainy day…or any day! ”
I have shared Annie’s banquette here before- her home is one of my ALL time favorites. You can find her pillows and dining chairs HERE.
Bloggers Favorite New Home Decor Piece- Melaine from My Sweet Savannah
Melaine was one of the first bloggers to be-friend me. We often text late at night giving advice and trading secrets. So nice to have support from other bloggers. This is what Melaine had to say about her new favorite home decor piece-
Thanks for the trip to Serena & Lily it’s beautiful! I love the wallpaper behind the bookshelves. In Nate Berkus new show on TLC he did something similar he used grass clothe wall covering behind a bookshelf on his 1st episode. I would love to see you do some type of wall covering in your bookshelves. 😉 Just an idea… I love your house!!!
thanks! I need to watch his new show! I love him:)
I do actually have wallpaper in my bookshelves- it is a plank wood look, leftover from my bedroom ceiling!
hey girl- love the post! So cool!
Thanks Shawnna!
I just discovered your blog and love it!! In the post with the three twin beds with Serena and Lily bedding, can you tell me where I can find the hanging sailboat decor? I’ve been looking everywhere for those and can not find where to purchase them. I’d love them for my son’s nursery!!!
Thank you!!
Thank you so much! I took that picture at the Serena and Lily in Westport Ct. I don’t know where they got them…
You could call the store and see if they can tell you:)
