Our kids had their last day of school yesterday! They each had a friend over and played outside all day. Loving our play-set and water under the trampoline. It is always a bitter-sweet day. Ella was too excited to be sad, but Lola said she was sad because she would miss school and her friends. Our kids go back to school the last week in August. I know this summer will fly by for us. We are headed to Yellow Stone National Park soon and a trip to Utah to see family and friends. What summer plans do you have? I will make this Friday Favorites quick! But if you have noticed with me, no blog post is too quick. Sharing some Favorite AFFORDABLE Home Decor pieces at the end of the post, I think you will love.
Outdoor Furniture SALE- Thought I should mention our FIRE COLUMN is on sale and so is our GRAY SETTEE and our CREAM SOFA. We have had there for almost two years and love them!
Backyard– I mentioned I was ordering THIS Large Outdoor Jenga Set for Kevin for Father’s Day. We got it and have had a lot of fun with it! I am going to do a blog post on all the best backyard games and activities! This will for sure be included.
Organizing Challenge- This past week we had the challenge to organize our clothes! I went thru Finn’s clothes and added the SKUBB organizers to his drawers. AMAZING what small organizers in a drawer will do. It has stayed looking the way I sorted it all for a week now and in the past that was not the case. I also donated about three bags of the girls clothes. The question came up as to “How much clothes to keep for kids?” I did some reading and most said about 4 PJ’s, 7 Outfits and 3-4 Dress-up “nicer outfits” (like dresses for girls). OR some say keep as much as you have space for- without feeling crammed. I noticed that is what I do with my clothes. And basically what I have for my kids. Lola gets Ella’s clothes, resulting in way too many pants and shorts that felt crowed in her drawers, so we donated perfectly good shorts and pants just to save space.
This week’s Organizing Challenge- We will start on the kitchen tomorrow! I will be sharing ideas for storage all week on Instagram Stories. If you haven’t yet, you can get your FREE Organizing Printable HERE. Below a reader shared a picture of her pantry all organized and labeled with my favorite label maker!
Swimsuit- I shared my new swimsuit over and Instagram and so many of you wanted the info on it. I really have never owned a one-piece swimsuit I liked or I thought was flattering on me. They can fit so weird depending on our body type. But THIS one did not disappoint and for the amazing price! Answers to questions I got- I have it in a medium, it covers the “cheeks” about medium to almost full coverage, the bra-cups are more of a firmer cup so it has a little more support. Hope that helps! My coverup was sold out but I really love THIS one!
Book- We are reading THIS book for Bookclub this month. My friend is an avid reader and suggested it as a light summer read. Last month for book club we went to the movie Book Club and all of us enjoyed it! It was funny and entertaining. Have you seen it?
Favorite Nester Share- Every Tuesday in the Nesting with Grace FB Group we invite everyone to post their transformations for #transformationtuesday there are some AMAZING talented people! We all love a good before and after! Below Emily Black made over her closet to create a piece entry space! She even added the Magic Light Trick! I am thinking of doing a blog post just with transformations from the Nesters in the #transformationtuesday post. Let me know if you would like to see that?
