I have always been a spray paint fan lover. I had a couple little projects I was working on and a few readers suggested I use Rub n' Buff for the projects. Sharing the good, the bad and the ugly! And my go-to favorite spray paint, the can I always have on-hand. Watch out, I might spray paint the exterior of our house next. Not, really but I actually would spray it bright white if I really could. Brighter Gold- Rust-Oleum Pure Gold Rust-Oleum Pure Gold is a brighter gold. I really love this color. I use this when I am trying to brighten up a space or match a bright gold. We have used this ... Read More

Home Tour this New England Charming Home with the Blue Door
The house with the "Blue Arched Door" is one I point out to visitors as we walk to the beach or I stop and take a picture of it when I run by. It was one of the very first photos I shared on Social Media- I even guessed what the color of the blue door is. So when Marybeth the now owner of the "House with the Blue Arched Door" sent me an email saying that she is a reader of my blog and would love to meet me. I said "Yes! Can I come see your house and take photos??" And oh man I am so happy that she reached out, she brightened my day in every way. I was actually surprised that her charming New ... Read More

Come see inside this New England Charming Guest House
I think one of the first homes I took a picture of in our new neighborhood was this charming white tiny little house. I imagined it to be a guest house (maybe because that would be MY dream). I drive by this tiny white "guest house" everyday. And every single time I turn and look at it. Imaging what is inside. Well one day I decided I was going to do it. I was going to ask to see inside. Last week my kids and I didn't have much going on and the weather was really cool for July. We jumped on our bikes to go on a long bike ride. I told my girls that while we were out we would pass this ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Solar Powered String Lights
First off for my Friday Favorites today I want to share the Solar Powered String Lights I found and we just installed on our back patio. In a 1950's home we are lacking in some areas such as closet space and exterior plugs. So my dream of having String Lights on our patio was not very likely going to happen. Unless I wanted to have an extension cord going through a window or pay a lot of money to have a plug installed. I was so thrilled when I came across THESE Solar Powered String Lights while shopping one day. I knew this would be the perfect solution! Shop other String Lights ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with a Design Question about Fans
What do you think of the ceiling fans? I read an article about design mistakes and a designer said that he considers ceiling fans a design mistake. I disagree. Ceiling fans have come a long way! He thinks that homes should be designed properly for the right air flow so you do not need a ceiling fan. In a perfect world that *might* be possible. But all homes are not created equal and sometimes it is necessary for a ceiling fan or at least a portable fan. I shared some of my favorite fans and also other favorite things from the past week! I love this white kitchen it looks retro but ... Read More
Front Porch Ideas and Designing the Outdoors
Hello! I thought I would share some fun updates we did to the front porch. Our front porch was looking sad- as I think (or hope!) most front porches do after winter. Our porch still had the little green pine trees on them from Christmas, because I convinced myself they looked "wintery". Needless to say it was ready for some love. Funny how we ignore the front of our home when that is the first impression we make! I can remember going to my friends Denise's house for a party and the entry was SO darling. She had pulled weeds, planted some flowers, added pots of topiaries and soft lighting as ... Read More
