Styling your patio table can be so fun, if you don’t overthink it! We spend so much of our time outdoors from May until October, we want to have our outdoor space as cozy and as decked out as our interiors! But obviously keeping it low maintenance! I took the challenge Walmart gave me, and I am going to share three ways to style your patio table in hopes it will give you ideas! Plants, outdoor candles and even a portable mini fire pit are all you need…

Step one is to clear off your surface. We sprayed down our patio with our power washer, then we set up our new outdoor dining table and chairs. I wasn’t sure if we were going to do a table and chairs in this space, but we have noticed we want to be by the pool as often as we can! We went with THIS outdoor table and chairs from Walmart.com. I have to be honest, it is SO much better in person!!! The table is actually metal, super durable, find it HERE.
Hang lights! Twinkle lights are always a must in my opinion! Adds the hygge vibe we are all craving. We are still trying to figure out what we want to do for lights around the pool area. But for now we simply hooked a strand of outdoor lights over nails on the fence.
Bring on plants! I suggest succulents. They are really low maintenance. In my experience they last all season and don’t require a lot of water. I recommend doing varying heights for interest, but make sure you can comfortably see the person across the table! I found these pots on walmart.com and they were a great texture and quality.
What about an outdoor umbrella? I think it is a must for most outdoor areas. I tried this white umbrella to brighten up the patio set. I added these affordable outdoor white accent pillows on the chairs to tie in the white umbrella and complete the look.
I also tried this black umbrella for a more modern look! Really you can’t go wrong! Go back up to the white umbrella, what look do you like best?
Did you know there are battery operated outdoor candles!? These make the prefect table setting for your outdoor table. Cluster a couple candles in an outdoor lantern and layer some around the lantern. Add a plant for height, texture and LIFE!
Have you seen these smaller fire pits that are perfect for a table? My kids love s’mores, so I wanted to try this look as an option. Nothing says, come gather and hang out like a fire! But with these mini propane fire pits you don’t have the fire smell that lingers in your hair and clothes!
And you might want a cozy outdoor throw! We have two of these stripe throws and have used them almost every night eating dinner, roasting s’mores or watching a movie on the outdoor projector.
