Small Bedroom gets Wallpaper and Fluffy Bedding

My younger sister moved into the cutest new home, it is absolutely perfect for her! I’m SO happy to see her in this place. She has a great yard for her dogs, a fireplace, and the cutest yellow front door (I will share that soon!). Today is all about her master bedroom makeover. I wanted to do something special for a house warming gift , fluffy bedding and wallpaper were essentials that I knew she had to have!

Master Bedroom Before-

Her bedroom was not bad before! It just needed to be pulled together. She had bought the same bed when I featured it in a past makeover, which is so fun. The rug was just not adding much to the room and the bedding could use a little more fluff!

Bedroom After-

Now it feels like a cozy bedroom! My sister loves it. She said “I thought my room was cute before, but wow it is so cute now!” Doesn’t that bed look dreamy to curl up in?!

We wallpapered the entire room, put the bed to the opposite wall, swapped the rug for a larger rug and gave her bright fluffy bedding. Let’s break it all down….

Fluffy White Bedding-

As you can tell from her bedding before, she loves pink! That inspired the pink wallpaper which then required changing her bedding. Since the wallpaper and bed were bold colors, I opted for white timeless bedding. Plus, she needed that fluff to the bed!

I LOVE this organic white duvet cover! It has a light weight quilt texture. Probably one of my favorites because it is timeless with some character. I put my favorite duvet insert inside to make it extra fluffy.

Adding a throw to the end of the bed really just adds another layer of coziness. I like how the creaminess in this cable knit throw pulls in the cream in the rug.

I did a subtle stripe quilt on the bed with two standard shams. It is such a pretty quilt, with gorgeous detailing. I really liked how the quilt was oversized and completely covered the mattress, something I value in quality bedding and always notice with all The Company Store bedding.

Removable Wallpaper

This removable wallpaper is from my new wallpaper collection! It really transforms the look of the bedroom. Although it is pink it doesn’t feel juvenile because of the rick rack stripe, which also adds a lot of height to the room.

My sisters helped me install the removable wallpaper and to their surprise it was pretty easy to learn how to install.

Rug

She had a 5×7 rug before, which was too small for the queen bed. A 6×9 would have worked, instead I opted for a 8×10 that really brightens up the room. And this rug contrasts the carpet vs what she had before. Love how the white bedding really pops off the rug! You can find this rug and my rug tips on this post.

Accessories and Window Treatments-

If you remember she had blinds, which blocked out a lot of the light and didn’t offer and coziness. We took off the blinds and did a curtain rod and curtain panels instead (she can close the curtain panels for privacy). What a simple change that really adds so much!!

She had one nightstand, and even though she doesn’t need two nightstands, two nightstands balances the bed and room.
